Progressives have officially surrendered all grip on reality

I could post thousands of photo's, satellite images and historical text proving my case that this is a really bad idea.
But you know what you can't do? Get a job in the private sector. You're too lazy and what little skills you have are completely useless in the real world. So you continue to cry all day like a little girl that the American tax payer owes you a living.

What I find interesting is that the 'liberal' media doesn't seem to want to report this issue. I would think that mass starvation would be an important story.

yep, people like the op wants to do away with any regulations on food, water, air, environment or investment into this country. Somehow he thinks other people have lost their grip on reality? If your idea of America looks a little like the poor side of town in India or parts of Africa...Well, you're talking about yourself.
How about those shovel ready jobs your master was talking about? So much for infrastructure huh?

You're ignorance is so deep and profound that it literally never ceases to amaze me Matthew. Here is someone who figured it out 200 years ago (and you still haven't)

"Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all." -Frédéric Bastiat

(Psst...stupid...just because the federal government isn't authorized to do something doesn't mean your state, county, or city governments can't)

So who do you want to regulate such things as food safety, pollution, workplace safety? The corporations?

lol
NYcarbineer continues to illustrate his illiteracy. For those that can read and comprehend - please see the section above which I have now highlighted.

In addition to that - not everything needs to be regulated. Some things are flawlessly handled by the free market.

lol, so you want air pollution regulated county by county because that would be more efficient?

good one.

I enjoyed the thingy where anyone can identify as "black". The Progs pulled that stupid shit when that woman lied about being black.

They've been trolling all of us for a while.

Those can be regulated by tort law. We don't need some bureaucrat in Washington telling us what kind of gas can we can buy.

The market handles most things. About the only exceptions are air pollution and over fishing. That's because it's impossible to own the air or the fish in the sea.

What is the insane obsession with conservatives that state and local governments can do things better than the federal government?

If you believe that, how about we leave gun law up to the states? Get the federal government out of that business. Repeal the 2nd Amendment.

Repealing the 2nd Amendment would open the door for federal regulation.

You already have federal regulation. How about letting the states decide how much or how little gun regulation each one wants,

without the federal government placing a big blanket of limits on gun control via the 2nd Amendment?

they never had one
to begin with.....
:)

Really? Getting women the vote was a bad idea?

you mean the one
California Republican A.A. Sargent introduced the 19th Amendment
only to see it voted down by a Democrat-controlled Congress.?

Democrat "progressives" of today are of the variety below

and they still think it was a right wing conspiracy

That's as stupid as saying "how about letting the states decide how much or how little speech regulation each one wants" or "how about letting the states decide how much or how little religious regulation each one wants".

Government does not get to control my Constitutional rights. Doesn't matter if it is federal, state, or local. However, you'd be correct (for once) if you had replaced gun with gay marriage.

Progressivism died out a century ago.

So why do so many leftists call themselves Progressive?

I suspect they're calling themselves "progressive" --- small P. An adjective, meaning "one who is in favor of progress" (presumably as opposed to one who is against progress).

Small P = adjective, describing a manner of approach. Capital P = noun, referring to a populist political movement of the late 19th/early 20th century from the 1890s to World War One.

>> The Progressive Era was a period of widespread social activism and political reform across the United States, from the 1890s to 1920s.[1] The main objective of the Progressive movement was eliminating corruption in government. The movement primarily targeted political machines and their bosses. By taking down these corrupt representatives in office a further means of direct democracy would be established. They also sought regulation of monopolies (Trust Busting) and corporations through antitrust laws. These antitrust laws were seen as a way to promote equal competition for the advantage of legitimate competitors. << (Wiki)

To call oneself "progressive" (adjective) simply means "I believe in improving things". Nothing more than that. Cretins like the OP are too shallow to see any deeper than a convenient label they can hold up and puncture like some Voodoo doll.

That's why I keep demanding he define his terms. Because he can't do it.

Yet another perfect example of how progressives have surrendered a grip on all reality. While insisting that a wall across the U.S. - Mexican border was "racist", "evil", and "unjust", Mexico has had some of the harshest illegal alien laws in the world and are now looking to build a wall along the Mexico - Central America border...

Mexico Wants A Border Wall To Stop Immigration From Central America
