Donald Trump has been insisting for years that our country has been too economically dependent on China, so it is sad that it took a global public health crisis to prove he was right all this time. When he began imposing strategic tariffs on China in response to its long history of abusive trade practices, the liberals all of a sudden became free trade fundamentalists, predicting that this new “trade war” would harm the American economy because we have relied so heavily on cheap Chinese imports for so many years. Instead, it was the Chinese economy that took a hard hit, while our economy at home surged to its strongest performance in half a century.

What happened? The answer is simple. Just as manufacturers had once moved their factories to China to take advantage of cheap labor, weak regulations, and lower tariffs on exports to developed economies, these companies are now fleeing China for other countries that offer similar business advantages without all of the political baggage from Beijing.

Coronavirus shows Donald Trump was right all this time about China

Time to call it, Trump was right about the tariffs as the corona virus has made clear.

Great post, thanks!

Trump's tariffs were the devil

Chinese Media Says Country Could Withhold Medication from U.S.

Being reliant on China for necessary goods is the way to go.
Trump calling them out, and it exposed their true colors. Now this mess.

Great post, thanks!
If Trump was right about everything, was he right in 2011 when he said

"In my opinion, I hear the Democrats are gonna be blamed, I hear Republicans are gonna be blamed, I actually think the president would be blamed," he said. "If there is a shutdown ... I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He's the one that has to get people together."

Trump-47 was right. Your quote is probably when he was a democrat.

The quote is Trump was right about everything. They didn't specify when. So he was all wrong before he realized his only way to the White House was through the GOP? He would have never got the Democratic nominee. Your party got taken over by the lunatics, racists and conspiracy theorists.

Poor Comey and Bolton. LOL

Poor Comey and Bolton. LOL
The Comey and Bolton cases are near opposites.
The Comey case was refused by the career prosecutors, including the acting US Attorney who Trump fired / he quit because he refused to indict Comey in accordance with DOJ guidelines.

They had to bring in Trumps personal lawyer to go for a Comey indictment.

Meanwhile Bolton was investigated by the professionals , who built a strong case, but not strong enough to warrant prosecution.
Which is why when Trump pushed for their prosecution the Comey indictment was 2 pages and 2 counts, and only one prosecutors signature where the Bolton indictment spanned 26 pages (a speaking indictment) laying out what Bolton did, with 18 felony counts and signed off by several prosecutors.

The only thing they share is malicious and politically motivated prosecution.

of course he was right, and of course today is not 2011, is it

I keep telling my dad it doesn't matter that I don't like these two men. Perhaps that's why Trump is starting with them. If we allow it, who's next?

Same for Colbert and Kimmel. All my MAGA friends say "**** him he's not funny anyways.." First, yes he is. 2nd, it shouldn't matter if you like him or what he says. Freedom of speech is for speech you don't like too.

Trump was right about everything, but his friendship with Oprah. oprah and the democrats turned on Trump for wanting to be President
Howard Stern loved Trump. Best guest he says. They've dined together. Trump never picked up a check. And is constantly name dropping. Or did back then. Trump hates Howard now because Howard refused to endorse him.

Think about that. He's his friend and wouldn't endorse him for POTUS. He knows him. Better than you. And yet he said Trump should never be POTUS.

Okay how about this

Donald Trump suggested pleading the Fifth Amendment means you are guilty in 2016, during his presidential campaign. At a rally in Iowa, Trump said, "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?".

Was Trump the Republican right in 2016?

He also promised to show us his replacement for Obamacare. He always says "in 2 weeks". He's been saying that for years. Is he wrong or just lying? He certainly never showed us his plan. That was his first term too.

Trump is not a politician nor a lawyer, so he doesn't have a polished speaking style.
Trump "misspeaks" occasionally, but he cleans it up, and all is well.
He used the word "****" yesterday at a press conference regarding Venezuela. Not good.

Yet his energy is amazing, and his judgment regarding policies are spot on, he learned how DC works.
You keep trying to find fault with Trump instead at looking at the toxic and unpopular democrat policies.
Trump knows that the mid-terms are coming up, and he has to show results by then.

Re: Trump "misspeaks" occasionally, but he cleans it up, and all is well.

That's absolutely wrong.
When Trump "mis-speaks" he doubles down that he didn't mis-speak.

It's his hired hands that correct what Trump "meant" to say.
But Trump is using the advice he got from his lawyer Roy Cohn.
Never admit a mistake.

All I found using google were times Trump-45 misspoke. That is remarkable for a president with daily press conferences, unlike Biden who never had press conferences because they were disasters, same with Kamala's "word salads".

Karoline Leavett does a great job of keeping the press informed without lies or "circle-backs", or "clean ups".

This is an interesting case, because throughout the conference Trump said he believed Putin, who was very forceful in his denial of russian interference in the 2016 election.

And that one statement where he said he didn't think it would have been Russia (that interfered), he changed to wouldn't, yet didn't correct the dozens of other Putin supporting statements he made.

"President Putin says it's not Russia. I don't see any reason why it would be," he replied.

This was is only pro-Putin statement that could be "twisted" by a misspoken word.

I don’t have to try to find fault with trump. He’s ******* horrible.

End those unpopular dem policies. You control all of government. For example, can trannies still swim against girls in college? End that. Dont ever let me hear you complain about it again if you don’t end it.

And cut as many liberal programs as you want. I promise, it will hurt the middle class and cost you elections. It will also allow the grifter and chief to rip us off more with a gold White House and parades god you people are ******* stupid.

I think we all know that every country tries to influence every other countries' elections, and have for decades if not longer.

If democrats took control of DC would men compete against women again? ******* right they would.

You elected senile Biden and put up stupid Kamala to run for president. How'd that work out for you?
How many pardons did Biden give out to the Biden Crime Family members? Grifters???
As for elections, how did 2024 work out? We'll see how 2026 and 2028 turn out, stay tuned.
