And yet it got blowed up on the open ocean. That boat was too small to be an open ocean vehicle.
Indeed. And the rules are different in the open ocean.
That's how they've been terrorizing shipping in the Persian Gulf and off the coast of Somalia for years, using boats exactly like this. That boat was too small to be an open ocean vehicle.
Yes, India's pharmaceutical industry significantly outproduces Venezuela's, and India is often called the "pharmacy of the world" due to its role as a major global supplier of affordable drugs. In contrast, Venezuela has historically been characterized as a major illicit drug transit and, to some extent, a producing country. The comparison of the two nations' drug manufacturing is most significant when differentiating between legitimate pharmaceuticals and illicit narcotics.
Legitimate pharmaceutical production
India
Venezuela
- A global leader: India ranks third globally in pharmaceutical production by volume and is the world's largest provider of generic medicines, accounting for 20% of the world's supply. It is also the largest vaccine supplier by volume.
- Key export market: India's pharmaceutical exports are vast, reaching over 200 countries. In June 2025, packaged medicaments were India's top export to Venezuela, valued at $10.8 million. India's pharmaceutical export revenue reached $30.38 billion in fiscal year 2025.
- Government support: The Indian government actively supports the pharmaceutical sector with schemes like the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) to boost manufacturing and exports.
- International investment: Major multinational pharmaceutical companies operate in India, contributing to its strong production base.
Illicit drug production and trafficking
- Significant imports: Venezuela relies heavily on imports for its medicines. In early 2025, reports noted that Venezuela imports 35% of its antibiotics from Asian markets, with India as a major contributor.
- Limited domestic production: The country's economic and political instability has severely hampered its domestic pharmaceutical production capacity.
- Russian collaboration: While local production is limited, in November 2024, a project was announced to manufacture insulin in Venezuela starting in 2025, using technology from a Russian company.
Venezuela
India
- Illicit trafficking hub: Venezuela is widely recognized as a major transit country for illicit drugs, particularly cocaine, from neighboring Colombia.
- Government designations: For years, U.S. administrations have repeatedly designated Venezuela as a major illicit drug transit or drug-producing country. In 2025, officials continued to accuse the Maduro regime of enabling drug trafficking.
- Ongoing operations: In August 2025, Venezuela announced anti-narcotics operations along its border with Colombia and the dismantling of illegal shipyards used to manufacture "narco subs".
- Narcotics transit and production: India has also been named by the U.S. as a major illicit drug-producing and transit country.
- Precursor chemical supplier: India is a major source of precursor chemicals used by cartels to produce synthetic drugs. This has led to global efforts to combat the diversion of these chemicals.
- Cultivation and trafficking: The country's production of legal and illicit cannabis and opium and its position on trafficking routes contribute to its inclusion on the U.S. list.
And Adam Schiff is already drawing up the paperwork for impeachment. Democraps....An activist judge ruled illegal use of missiles....

Why don’t you go and read it for yourself?
So Trump did not declare war against Venezuela? He is waiting for Maduro to take the first shot against the US Navy. That's when the fireworks start. Why does it matter to you what I say? You’re dodging the question.
I didnt know what your definition of"viable" is, but wind & solar are nowhere near enough to power the US, without fossil fuels (coal, oil, LNG).Wind and solar are viable right now, if the administration wasn’t throwing up roadblocks. They don’t have to carry the whole load, but lies about their efficacy have to stop.
Exactly. Why not board and confiscate so that you know you have a real concern? There has been a lot of unfounded claims by the US. Not saying they are fake claims, just unsupported. Now after these unsupported claims we strike a boat without the ability to prove these claims either?
The US has produced no direct evidence of Venezuelan trafficking. According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Venezuela is not a cocaine-producing country. Almost all coca crops – the main ingredient of cocaine – are concentrated in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.
Colombia in particular – has seen its cocaine production grow dramatically in recent years, due both to an increase in cultivation area (almost 100,000 hectares more since 2020) and, more significantly, because of higher yields in refining the product, according to UN researchers.
The Pacific route also dominates UNODC drug seizure statistics, with Colombia (37%), Ecuador (8.8%) and Panama (4.2%) as the countries in the region with the largest quantities of cocaine hydrochloride. Venezuela ranks sixth among Latin American countries in terms of seizures, with less than 2%.

Both kill millions of birds. Are they not part of the so lauded "Environment".
Which country did Trump order the navy to fire missiles against? You can't see that Trump is playing Maduro here I guess. Remember when Maduro said he has no knowledge about the gang invading the US and took over the apartment complex in CO? Let's see how long can Maduro keep up.Firing missiles and blaming another country sounds like war. It just looks for another way for Trump to declare victory. Bully tactics.
I doubt it solves our nation's drug problem one iota.
If its war, Venezuela declared it, by having a drug cartel run their country & shipping lethal drugs to the US.Firing missiles and blaming another country sounds like war. It just looks for another way for Trump to declare victory. Bully tactics.
