President Trump: Making America Normal Again

Does anyone actually READ the news anymore? The only downside of reading is not knowing what you need to "talk to your doctor" about. Selling pills to hypochondriacs is slowly making TV unwatchable.
I read news when I want more than hyperbole, however who do we believe when we read or watch news? The media is not reliable anymore, we heard for years Biden was mentally competent and he was far from it, we were told there was no way that Covid-19 came out of a lab, we find out different, we hear propaganda, spin and BS.

Big Pharma lying to us is a huge deal, they have done it for decades, and our government has been complicit, we are sold chemicals in our food that are banned in other countries because of its effect. Big Pharma, the FDA and the food industry. If they are willingly to lie to us this way, what else are they lying about?

Fascists have been blaming the "media" for their problems for nearly 300 years, but
Covid-19 had never been seen before so of course mistakes were made. Duh!

No liberals in the 60’s questioned authority and the media. Big pharma, the FDA and the food industry have worked to make us unhealthy and craving chemicals in our foods that are unhealthy and harmful to us.

/—-/ The history of coronaviruses is an account of the discovery of the diseases caused by coronavirusesand the diseases they cause. It starts with the first report of a new type of upper-respiratory tract diseaseamong chickens in North Dakota, U.S., in 1931. The causative agent was identified as a virus in 1933. By 1936, the disease and the virus were recognised as unique from other viral disease. They became known as infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), but later officially renamed as Avian coronavirus. The majority of Americans who voted for President Trump did so because of the MAGA vision of a strong, secure, free America that offers maximum liberty, options, choices, opportunity and prosperity for all.

That is what is normal America to those people.

So far the cabinet President Trump is putting together are all committed to that vision, but wow, they sure are causing a lot of heads to explode. Nevertheless Trump is moving forward to make the MAGA vision a reality and is putting together the most unusual, interesting, unexpected and unlikely team in American history to accomplish it.

I am a bit curious if the most hard core left aren't at least a little bit curious and interested in how this will all work out. I sure am.

What does a normal America look like to you? Is the Biden Administration agenda and results what you think should be normal? Or are you willing to give the MAGA team the majority of voters voted for a chance?

Setting aside the talking points, partisan rhetoric and propaganda, aren't you a little hopeful that the MAGA agenda, the MAGA team heading government, the resolve to make America great again, will yield good things? Or are you hoping it fails?

I can see that the military will go back to the original standards for people to make it past boot camp. No more easy going, because those original standards were the ones that made the United States defeat the Nazis in Germany and the Japanese. No more cross dressing clowns, no more beta males, and if the women cannot pass those standards, then so be it. The United States will once again have the Greatest Military in the World, and all the axis of Evils will not try any shit with US.

In the 60s a lot of us refused to stand for the pledge of allegiance as a protest against that rotten Vietnam War. We attended protests in Washington D.C, Pittsburgh and NYC where we questioned the hell out of authority. How old are you, kid? :icon_rolleyes:

And now if a Democrat is in office lying you defend him and never question anything, you lost your spine.

Not entirely fair as most Americans were not liberal in the 1960s but few Americans even questioned much about our food in the 1960's. The 50's and 60's were when America's most serious sugar addiction began with Tony the Tiger pushing sugary Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms et al made their debut. We were also treated to actors dressed like doctors telling us what brand of cigarettes doctors recommended. Processed foods started becoming the norm instead of being a novelty.

I don't understand the left or anybody else condemning Robert Kennedy Jr. for his intention to put out information based on a gold standard of science and give America a chance to stop eating foods that are poisoning and killing them and make healthier choices. He intends to do it via education and not via mandates as much as possible. But those substances now included in our food that are scientifically certified as poisonous to us will likely be banned. How do thinking people have a problem with that?

Another what I believe to be an early Trump effect is Jeff Zuckerburg's announcement that Facebook will follow X's lead and no longer censor posts based on sociopolitical opinions. They may add community notes to posts indicating the information has been proven erroneous or whatever, but will no longer censor subscribers who post them.

I see this as a very healthy thing and a return to normalcy in at least one aspect of public information.

We need to change the way the FDA rules on the chemicals in our foods, the dyes, hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated, BHT, MSG, Nitrites are considered safe until proven otherwise. Many foods and chemicals we allow in the foods here are banned in other nations. The food and drug industry is addicting us to foods, creating obesity, diabetes, strokes, heart disease, cancers and more. We need an RFK Jr that will serve the American people and not the food and drug industries. The government has the job of protecting their citizens not corporations who spend billions a year to influence politicians.

Exactly. While it is the right of a free people to peddle products that are not good for us, they should not be allowed to hide what is harmful in their products. We definitely should be looking at additives in a cereal advertised as 'whole grain goodness' but that contains dyes, preservatives, etc. that are banned in other countries. Maybe those countries overreacted re some of those things but having a HHS Secretary who will be requiring the gold standard of science to evaluate these things should not be seen as a bad thing.

And having a HHS Secretary committed to scientifically verified health--health based on real science instead of politically motivated science--rather than the good will of cereal manufacturers or whatever could be a real blessing and spare us many uglies, some tragic, that now exist because of too often questionable foods sold to us.

A normal America would be one in which we could be much more confident that our healthy food choices are actually healthy.

And that's a fact. If he was still a Democrat and was appointed by say Biden or Obama to be HHS secretary, he probably wouldn't but if he did propose the same policies he is now proposing, the left would be singing his praises.

In my opinion a normal America would be one in which much more logic and common sense guided our opinions rather than hard core ideology and/or partisanship.

What exactly are you whining about other than Biden`s 4 (four) scandal free years? BTW, does team red still have people in Kenya searching for Obama`s birth certificate? :abgg2q.jpg:
