Russia only invaded after repeatedly asking Ukraine (and the US) to abandon all plans to allow Ukraine to join NATO and hence have military bases and aircraft and missiles stationed on its border. The US point blank refused to do that and so has trump, he's refused to do that too and any fool knows that Putin will not be deterred from that goal.

So only a dickhead would say they will stop the Ukraine war and at the same time refuse to do the one thing that might lead to the war's end.

If Mexico agreed to join a Chinese led military alliance and have Chinese ships, aircraft and weapons situated on the Mexican border with the US, would you object if the US invaded Mexico after patiently requesting it abandon such a plan and being ignored?
