President Trump just placed the DC police under federal control

The blowhard's dictatorial stunt will fail to distract from his gross failures and Epstein scandal.

He can't divert attention from his dismal public assessment in Economics, Inflation, Foreign Policy, and regarding Ukraine:

The Epstein scandal is over. Yes, democrats might keep trying to breathe life into this corpse but it's done.

It has long been said that Gaza could have been the Singapore of the MidEast. But they fucked that up.

Cuba could have been the Switzerland of the West. They fucked that up, too.

Yes, Hamas is very much a socialist construct

Netanyahu's scheme of supporting Hamas to prevent a unified Palestinian state has certainly backfired.

Terrorists of any ideological pretense are undesirable.

DC has its own mayor, city council and police. It is not federally run.

The need to have the national guard come in and impose order on the lawlessness comes from the city having become a war zone besieged by savages. The problem of violence is exacerbated by a system that refuses to arrest, refuses to prosecute and refuses to incarcerate. They can then point to a significant drop in crime.

Meanwhile, one night in Washington DC.
Yes it is DC is not a state and the congress has authority
The United States Congress has exclusive jurisdiction over Washington D.C., but the city also has its own local government with a mayor and council. While Congress can overturn local laws, the city generally governs itself. This arrangement is due to the Constitution, which places the federal district under congressional control.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Congressional Jurisdiction:
The U.S. Constitution grants Congress authority over Washington, D.C., meaning Congress can legislate on matters concerning the city.

  • Local Government:
Despite Congressional oversight, Washington, D.C., has a locally elected government. This includes a mayor and a 13-member council who handle most day-to-day governance.

  • Home Rule:
The Home Rule Act of 1973 established this local government structure, granting D.C. residents a degree of self-governance.

  • Non-Voting Delegate:
Washington, D.C., has a non-voting delegate in the House of Representatives, currently Eleanor Holmes Norton, who can participate in debate and committee work but cannot vote on final legislation.

  • Oversight:
Congress retains the power to review and potentially overturn local laws passed by the D.C. council.

The new Nakba taking place in Gaza has made it clearer than ever that the struggle for Palestine is a struggle against the entire system of capitalism and imperialism in the Middle East

It's already started. CNN stating that this is happening even though crime is down apparently.

Big Balls convinced Trump to hurt himself politically. Mark my words, the Establishment want Trump to lose in the mid-terms.

I suspected there was 3D chess being played. We will see if I am correct or not.

For Trump it should be a driven focus on the economy and deporting illegals. His opponents are milking the ongoing wars (especially Gaza) and the Epstein files. This is a pivot, I'm just not sure it's the right one.
Not sure how they keep crime stats in DC and also not sure I believe crime is down there. I think they just reclassified major and violent crimes is all. That being said. I think Trump is just back at the mayor there for her lies over 1-6.

Obviously home rule didn't work. I saw the, overweight, black, mayor give her little speech looking and sounding ridiculous. Then she handed the microphone over to the chief of police, an even fatter and less imposing black woman. There is no question of the reasons why DC is the way it is.

Trump is abut to make fools out of them and every democrat mayor of crime ridden city

All that is happening in Gotham and in your head.
Then film yourself taking a walk down by the Petro at exit 16 on 285, at 2AM, Marc ATL.

You know, the truckstop with the armed guards and the concertina razor wire topped fences. Just take a stroll around the neighborhood and film with that new Iphone 16 Max, see how long it's you doing the filming.

Diehard MAGAs are deep state conspiracy nutjobs. They can't let go of the sexual abuser's long, intimate relationship with the pedophile sex trafficker.

Would I prefer that the focus were on his various policy failures? Indeed!

Since Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in jail in 2019, unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about his death and who was connected to him have swirled around right-wing media circles, fanned by Donald Trump himself.
But obsession with the case has evolved beyond conspiracy and now consumes Capitol Hill, where the president’s broken promise to release new details about the investigation has sparked outrage among his most vocal supporters in the MAGA movement.

Democrats will suck on this dry teat for awhile longer but, it's dead.

**** around, find out. If Mexico attacks America, we're bombing them back the stone age as well.
What if Mexico agreed to allow China to build bases in Mexico along the US border and station Chinese bombers, fighters and missiles there? Would you act like Russia has and bomb Mexico?
I have no issue with the war in Gaza. As long as there is a single civilian hostage being held...turn the whole territory to glass.
The Israelis have fifty hostages for every one held by Hamas.
As long as no American boots are on the ground, this is not our problem.

They were mistreated and denied due process.
Of course they were the poor things, just like trump won the 2020 election and Santa lives in the North Pole and there's no climate change and the moon landings were faked etc etc etc...

What do you think about that? Will there be blood running in the streets? Is this the "fascism" the left has been yelling about?

Updates: President Orders National Guard to Washington and Says He’s Taking Control of D.C. Police

"The U.S. military is preparing to activate several hundred National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., on Monday, a Defense Department official said. President Trump, who has repeatedly threatened a federal takeover of the nation’s capital, was expected to announce the deployment at a White House news conference on Monday.

Mr. Trump has claimed that crime is “totally out of control” in Washington, even though officials announced in January that violent crime in the city was at a 30-year low.

On Monday, Mr. Trump is expected to say that up to several hundred District of Columbia National Guard personnel will be sent to support law enforcement officers in the city, the Defense Department official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss operational matters. No other details were available early Monday."

Bout time. The big cities all need to have law and order brought to them. We start with DC and move on from there.

In a public safety milestone, Boston slashed its 2024 homicide rate to 24 killings, positioning itself as one of the safest major cities in the nation, according to officials.

There were 37 homicides in the city in 2023, 40 each in 2022 and 2021 and 56 in 2020, Boston Police Department statistics showed.

Meanwhile, Repub-run cities in red states with permissive laws:
Oklahoma City reported 11.92 murders, 627 violent crimes and 3,716 property crimes for every 100,000 residents, according to crime data compiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
Miami had 10.68 murders, 615 violent crimes and 3,044 property crimes per capita.
Other GOP-led cities with high murder rates include Jacksonville, Florida; Fresno, California; Omaha, Nebraska; Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Generally, state law applies, of course.

The states with the highest firearm fatalities per capita in 2025 are:
  • Alaska: 24.4 per 100,000
  • Mississippi: 24.2 per 100,000
  • Wyoming: 22.3 per 100,000
  • New Mexico: 22.3 per 100,000
  • Alabama: 22.2 per 100,000
  • Louisiana: 22.1 per 100,000
  • Missouri: 20.6 per 100,000
  • South Carolina: 19.9 per 100,000
  • Arkansas: 19.3 per 100,000
  • Montana: 19.3 per 100,000
The states listed by lowest firearm fatalities per capita are:
Why would the far-safer states adopt the more permissive firearm laws that result in far higher rates of fatalities?
They won't listen, they never do...

So this is another example of the vacuous "more guns less killing" fantasy these dummies spout off all the time, anyway I'm crossing Texas off my list...
