6. Kim Jung Il and Castro die. Clinton forges new US relationships with restructured Communist regimes

Updating for Oct:
Unemployment over 9% and looks to stay that way. Even the White House doesn't predict a drop below 9% any time soon.
2. Dow up but nowhere near 12k
3. Hleathcare passed. So unpopular those who voted for it are running away from it. Likely the worst political move on record for any party.
4. Republicans all but assured of majority in House. Senate in play.
5. Sarah Palin getting more and more powerful, called a "phenomenon" by the media.
6. Kim still in power, appoints his son as successor. Castro looking fit in his last interview. Clinton will probably forge a relationship with the exit from the Obama Administration after the election.

1. Unemployment is down .6 %.......I'm still the only poster who predicted a drop
2. Dow had its largest September Rally in decades. Close to 11K, still a chance of additional gains. I'm still the only poster who predicted an increase in the Dow
3. Nailed Healthcare. Still looking for Republicans to try a repeal
4. I stand by mu prediction that the Dems will keep both Houses....stay tuned. The Republicans have a way of fucking up can't lose seats. Thanks Tea Baggers
5. Palin is doing a great job of taking can't lose elections and turning them into defeats (Delaware, Nevada, CA). Still hasn't imploded, but is the best thing to ever happen for the Dems

He originally predicted runaway "Stagflation" meaning rising inflation and a stagnant economy. NEVER HAPPENED

So he reverses his prediction to "Stagdeflation" meaning rampant deflation and a stagnant economy. Where is your evidence of Deflation Rabbi?

Unemployment stuck at 9.6%. New claims were higher this week, if anyone cares.
2. Dow at 11k, most in anticipation of GOP win.
3. Healthcare passed. And I'll bet the Dems who voted for it regret every second.
4. Republicans stage outstanding win in the House, winning more seats than any other party since 1948. Health care vote and out of control spending by Democrats blamed. Senate almost neatly divided.
5. Sarah Palin proved a major power in the GOP/Tea Party movement with more vote-getting and fund raising power than Obama.
6. Kim still in power, appoints successor. Castro looking fit as a fiddle.

I predicted a stock market to hit 12,000 we are at 11,444 with two months to go. I was the only poster to predict positive growth

I predicted healthcare would pass. As you read the thread, you can see you, yourself gloating that it did not have a prayer

I predicted unemployment at 7%. Not even close. But I dare you to show me another prediction saying unemployment would decrease. The closest prediction to mine said 14% unemployment...I still win for closest estimate

I predicted Dems keep both Houses. Thanks to the Tea Baggers, the Dems kept one. Once again, I see where rightwingers were predicting a loss of both....yourself included. Half right on that one. Nobody on the thread predicted a split

Palin imploding hasn't happened, Castro and Kim still kicking....year ain't over yet

The Bush tax cuts expire in Jan. The health care taxes take effect then.
So you are positing that if you increase the cost of something (employment) you will still get more of it, the very opposite of classic economic theory. Maybe, but I doubt it.

Dow hits 12k: valuations are already very high, largely because interest rates are so low. With a recovering economy the Fed is under intense pressure to raise rates to avoid killer inflation. When rates go up the market will tank. Corporate profits ahve been improved because of cost containment,not increased sales. So what will mvoe the market 20% higher? I dunno. Neither do you.

Healthcare. Hardly a done deal although likely to pass. The liberal Dems in the House are all looking at Nebraska's sweetheart deal and wondering how to get the same for themselves. This could easily go south. IN any case the taxes kick in immediately but the benefits are years away.

Republicans pick up seats. The current polling on races shows the GOP sweeping every race they are in as anger over Democratic policies spills over. A lot can happen between now and Nov though.

Sarah Palin implodes. Very likely. She has become a media phenomenon and like all such fades quickly without a new gig.

Kim and Catro die. So what? Each one has successors in place who will not change the basic modus of their states, having too mcuh invested in them. It would take a revolution in both places to make real change. That might happen but as Iran and Honduras shows, the Obama administration is more interested in "stability" than democracy.

Time to put up or shut up Rabbi...

Breakdown of talks with Iran. Calls by the EU for more talks.

Threats by N.Korea to launch new missile capable of hitting the U.S. mainland, followed by dispatching Jimmy Carter to negotiate another deal.

New terrorist attacks on American targets, followed by condemnations by Pres Obama before he tees off with promises to bring the perps to justice.

Joe Biden will be discovered in hiding in Singapore.

Death of cap n trade in Senate.

And finally, sweep of both houses of Congress by the GOP and blocking any legislation by Obama until his miserable term is up.

So
