Predictions for 2010

Predictions for 2010

1. Unemployment drops to 7%

2. Dow Jones hits 12000

3. Healthcare passes

4. Republicans pick up seats in the House and Senate but are still a minority

5. Sarah Palin implodes because of a quote she can't take back

6. Kim Jung Il and Castro die. Clinton forges new US relationships with restructured Communist regimes

Let's review Rightwinger's predictions now that we are into February.
1. Unemployment is still near 10%, even on the official figure. The White House is predicting unemployment to continue averaging 10% for the year.

2. The Dow Jones closed today at 10,144. Nowhere near 12,000 and with high unemployment predicted for the year it's hard to see where buyers will come from

3. Healthcare bill is dying if not dead already. Not enough votes to pass.

4. Too early to tell but Republicans have already busted the fillibuster-proof Senate.

5. Sarah Palin getting good press for speech at Tea Party convention, commanding thousands of dollars for each speech.

6. Kim Jong Il and Castro appear alive and well. Clinton (Bill) appears in more danger of dying than either of them.

We'll keep you updated month by month on Rightwinger's predictions. So far my prediction is that Rightwinger will exit this board after the Nov election in shame.

Mid March so time to review.
1) Unemployment still near 10%, with no signs of abating.
2)Dow Jones still around 10,600
3) Health Care on life support, despite illegal and unprecedented maneuvers.
4) Sarah Palin doing just fine.
5) Kim Jong Il and Castro appear healthy enough.

June so we're half way almost through the year.
Unemployment still near 10%. Job creation at all time low, except the public sector.

Dow Jones closing under 10k and a ways to go down. No sign 12000 is even possible in this economy.

Health care more unpopular than ever. Many politicians running on repealing it next term.

Sarah Palin doing just fine. Helen Thomas imploded because of a quote she can't take back. Right track, wrong train.

Kim Jong Il and Castro fit as fiddles.

Not looking too good, is it there, Leftwinger?

Ouch!

Tough month!

-Market has given everything back.
-Unemployment is down to 9.7% from 10.1% still trending downward but we may not see 7% till next year
- Healthcare passed- Chalk that one up
- I still have faith in Sarah Palin, she hasn't let me down yet
- GOP is not going to do as well as they think
- Kim Jung il may fall victim to a smart bomb rather than die of natural causes

Still have seven months to go......we shall see how my predictions turn out

How is that "Stagflation" and "Double dip recession" you predicted working out? Still got you beat pal

Well.. I'm not doing so well but then who is?

You're doing a heck of a lot better than I am. Here are mine from like Page 9 or 10:

1. The President will have an epiphany and apologize to the American people for pushing the self-serving agendas of others rather than focus on what is honorable and helpful to the American people. Toward that end:

a. He will implement the full transparency in government that he promised.

b. He will fire every single person placed in a newly created position, including all the czars.

c. He will invite the Republican and Democratic leadership to the Oval Office and declare that the era of bitter partisanship had ended. They will work together to get things done and they would do it via counsel of credible knowledgeable experts or he will report their failure to do so on national television. And he keeps his pledge to do so.

d. He will call in the 'loans' made through TARP and demand that Congress cancel every contract or appropriation of unspent stimulus money. Whatever can be reclaimed will be returned to the U.S. treasury and considered off limits. He will look for ways to economize without jeopardizing national security or reneging on obligations and he will sign no new spending initiatives of any kind until the economy has stablized.

e. He will announce that he is recommending to Congress that they trash the healthcare legislation currently in process and start over and this time do it in a way that didn't interfere with the private sector, didn't project massive deficits, and didn't scare everybody half to death.

f. He will announce that he is canceling all treaties and initiatives re global warming, including cap & trade, until all scientists in advisory positions give a full accounting of all research, opinion, advice, and counsel and make a 100% honest and unshakable case that government can do anything to effect global climate change.

g. He will cancel all plans to raise all taxes and fees until the economy is on solid footing, there is full employment, and there is a sustainable annual growth in the GDP.

h. He will announce that the unions will no longer receive protection or favors from the federal government. If they cannot provide a marketable benefit and survive on their own merit, then they should disband.

h. He will announce that henceforth he will focus on the Constitutionally mandated responsibilties of the federal government and begin the slow process of returning everything else to the states as painlessly as possible.

2. The people will whole heartedly support him in No. 1 and vote out any members of Congress who refused to do so.

Well you know me, Lumpy. Eternal optimist to the last gasp. But we did have a large supply of grape juice that stayed in the fridge a long time awhile back. Maybe some of it fermented a wee bit?

Just warming it up and seeing how things are working out on everyones predictions.

murkins will continue voting against their own best interests and remain in denial about the collapse that is unfolding right in front of their eyes.

Predictions for 2010

1. Unemployment drops to 7%

2. Dow Jones hits 12000

3. Healthcare passes

4. Republicans pick up seats in the House and Senate but are still a minority

5. Sarah Palin implodes because of a quote she can't take back

6. Kim Jung Il and Castro die. Clinton forges new US relationships with restructured Communist regimes

1. Unemployment drops to 7%- Its down .7%, with luck, it can hit 9%.

2. Dow Jones hits 12000- Looked like a sure thing until the European economy collapsed. It is back up in recent weeks and with a surge in the fall could still reach 12K. We will see
3. Healthcare passes- Early in the year it looked doubtful with the Massachusets election. Check this one off
4. Republicans pick up seats in the House and Senate but are still a minority- Still looks good. Repubs are starting to wither with the spotlight turned on them. Angle may save the day
5. Sarah Palin implodes because of a quote she can't take back- Not yet....looks like alot of pin pricks so far
6. Kim Jung Il and Castro die. Clinton forges new US relationships with restructured Communist regime- we can still hope

Right now the U-6 is 16.5%!!

3) Credit Bubble pops

Not sure what that means.

4) Iran tests 1st nuclear weapon

Sooner or later

5) Obama's favorable rating hits 19

Yeah...that was just flat out wrong.

6) Democrats lose House & Senate

I doubt it, but they're going to lose some seats, I think.

7) Gasoline hits $ 7.00 a gallon

Not unless something very strange (and terrible!) happens, or conversely and ironically not unless the world's economies recover stupendously

Toppy works for big oil and loves high gas prices.
He cannot understand how high gas prices helped to put us in this mess.

The economy will turn around right before the elections just like the Dems have planned all along so they will be re elected.
