I think that pre-Christian, even the most ancient science was closer to real natural science than Christianity and Newtonianism.

For example, the views of the ancients about the celestial spheres correspond to modern observations with telescopes, indeed the stars are distributed in the spheres and distant stars make up a separate sphere.

Christians themselves confessed that the polytheists knew nature and rejected the Creator, this is in the Bible

Aristotle is adequate on the whole, he is not as stupid as Newton and nobody does not really use this Newtonian nonsense in engineering.

When germans made first racket, this kind if "science" was out of Germany
