Post here when you are notified that you can no longer afford your health insurance.

In my small town we took a lot of what we called frequent flyers .....sorts that had some manner of debilitating disease that slowly drove them downhill Seymour
Yes, that has always happened and always will until medical science is so advanced that there are no more debilitating diseases.
so we got to know each other, and we'd assess them ...... and ask about their treatments , visits, etc......standard fare....

many had stories of how their insurance providers had a hand in manipulating their care.

anecdotal, but one could ask any one that's done the job, and get similar answers

~S~
Oh, absolutelly the health insurance providers manipuate their care. Of course!

Conservatives, libertarians, Republicans, non-Democrats (as opposed to "not Democrats") warned about giving so much power to the insurance companies to come between doctor and patient way back when the idea of employer provided health insurance was subsidized through tax breaks not available to people who paid their doctors directly. Yes, a really horrible idea championed by the Democrats.

Doctors are profit-motivated but they also have ethical and professional responsibilities that nearly all take seriously to some degree. Insurance providers are profit-motivated full stop. They are interested in providing the least care and the least expensive care that they can, and at the highest premiums. That's where the profit increases are.

The idea of these subsidies pumping money into the pockets of stockholders, hedge fund operators, CEO's and board members and claiming it is to save lives is absurd.

In nearly 60 years, my total spend on hospital/healthcare has been £500. And that was in 2004 as I decided to speed things up and pay for an MRI scan. Everything else has been covered by the NHS.
Please post a picture of your teeth.

The tax exclusion for employer-sponsored health insurance was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by a Republican president in 1954.

lovely - & will that protect you from being crumbled up in yer car because a drunk driver decided to mow you down?
They don't seem to realize that it will work both ways. When they are sick or aged they will be on the receiving end.

having healthcare may help in preventing oneself from dying.

damn, you need to brush up on yer trolling skills.

they suck...

&

you suck.

that doesn't even rate 1/2 a star.
He's called ShortBus for a reason.

Which does not change the fact that Conservatives, libertarians, Republicans, non-Democrats (as opposed to "not Democrats") warned about giving so much power to the insurance companies to come between doctor and patient.

Are you going to argue that it was a great Republican idea?

Also, have you canceled your health insurance due to skyrocketing premiums, yet?

It changes the “fact” materially, in fact.

Not at all. It was a bad idea then, and we've seen how really bad it is, so much so that the "Affordable" Care Act was supposed to fix it and only made it worse.

Have you canceled your health insurance due to skywrocketing premiums yet? NPR told me that would happen to millions of people.

The ACA’s cap on the tax exclusion of employer-sponsored health insurance was repealed. By Republicans.

You're getting too far off-topic and not supporting your claims.
