I don't know enough about it to agree or disagree with you. After the Magdalene Laundries stuff came out and all the other stories of historical wrongdoing, I'm just not sure that I can say that they were not like evangelicals in the past. My ex did time as a seminarian after graduating from Cathedral Latin, before he rode off on his motorcycle for good. He used to say that the RC was the most fundamentalist of all.
