Pope Exhorts Catholic Geeks to Rescue ACA

Slaps Down U. S. Bishops’ “Social Wedge” Outrage

<snip>

Not only is America the health-care dinosaur of “advanced” nations, the Pope must negotiate this internal quandary: how to correct (read: slap down) the policy of regressive U.S. Bishops battling even marginal Obamacare? Spewing forth litigation and threats to shutter Catholic health institutions, even go to jail, Catholic clerics full of “family values” imagine ACA as total horror show, shredding their “religious freedom,” promoting birth control and abortions galore, despite official exemptions to the contrary.

‘Romanism’ to the Rescue?

And so imagine their surprise when the Pope began to exhort Catholic wiz kids to come to Obama’s aid, gratis, and propel the ACA from the starting gate. Why shouldn’t the best and brightest young Catholics improve life-saving online accessibility while warning the bishops to back off from rightwing obstructionism. Unconfirmed rumors even abound this reform Pope is mulling over this game-changer: whether the doctrine over which he rules infallibly approves informational, church-run health exchanges, especially when regressive governors punish the poor. Talk about a breakthrough.

He's the Obama Pope, the anti-Pope, against everything the organization he heads stands for

First off the pope seems very ignorant to the fight the bishop is undertaking and the real effect of Obaminationcare. I highly doubt the pope has read the headlines of people LOSING coverage and not gaining it. In the end we will have MORE uninsured Americans!The sticker shock people are seeing from rising premiums and deductibles and that Obaminationcare isn't a cost saver it's a cost increaser!

Like most fiscal liberals he is ignorant to the facts. The Pope drank the coolaid and without examining what is in the drink!

Second, the Bishop is fighting over having to pay for abortion and birth control. Two items the CHURCH states are wrong. They are not saying at least birth control should be illegal, they just don't want to have to pay for it. I can respect that stance, even though I don't agree with it. In the end, birth control coverage cost next to nothing to cover. It's the other mandates that are driving up the cost.
