Pope gives Palestinians boost of support

Not anymore after the arab muslims ethnically cleansed them from the are, leaving less than1% in the whole of Palestine. Of them very few are Roman Catholics, if any now.

First of all, you as usual lie, 8% of the West Bank Palestinians are Christian.

"They are approximately 8% of the West Bank population"

Palestinian Christians - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Secondly, it was the Jews that ethnically cleansed the Christians from Palestine.

Palestinian Christians - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Palestinian Christian Population greatly decreased from 1948 to 1967. Most fled or were expelled during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War."

Thirdly, the Pope is concerned with all Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, whether they like it or not.

"The pope is the bishop of the Church of Rome, Italy. Because of the importance of Rome, Tradition recognizes the pope as the supreme pastor of all Christians."

Here is the truth from a reliable source

As a result of Al Nakba in 1948, Al Naksa in 1967 and many other wars on the Palestinian people, the majority of Palestinian Christians have been forced to flee and seek refuge in neighbouring countries and abroad. To put this in numbers, before 1922, the total percentage of Christians living within the borders of the Palestinian territory was 4% but in 2005, it was estimated that the percentage of Palestinian Christians living in the Palestinian territories has dropped down to from 3.4% to 2.1%.

That was the population figures for 2005 and they are even lower now

Why Christians are leaving occupied Palestine

Thank you for posting a link that also confirms that the Christians were forced to leave as a result of the Al Nakba and Al Naksa. I assume that by quoting the article you agree with it.

Unfortunately, you have a reading comprehension problem, I quoted percentage of the Palestinian population in the West Bank.

One percent...

Two percent...

Three percent...

It's a flea...

Two thirds of the refugees were made so before the Arab intervention so NO they did not join the fighting, none of the refugees did and that is why they have the legal right of return to their homes.
All they need now is the muscle to make it happen, and they're all set.

There's no frigging way they're going to get it.

One would think that they (and their supporters) would have gotten that through their thick skulls after 66 years.

Then again, with people who make as many bad decisions year after year as the Palestinians do, perhaps 66 years isn't long enough for that to sink-in, after all.

My bad.

They're better off packing-up and leaving for greener pastures, to build new lives elsewhere.

'Cause they ain't goin' back.

No need, an alien European settlement in the Middle East as in Africa (Rhodesia and South Africa) will eventually succumb to local demographics. There are no more large populations of Jews available to immigrate since the Russian Jews went to Israel. (without the Russian Jews, the non-Jews would be an overwhelming majority in the lane Israel rules). The only large population of Jews outside of Israel is the U.S., and it is doubtful they will immigrate en mass to Israel.

Don't you just love those like Haniya who salivate over the thought that there will be no Israel any longer just so her new brethren can take it over and will finally be able to govern the entire Middle East like a bunch of greedy pigs. Meanwhile, she has no interest in the people her new brethren are busy murdering in the rest of the Middle East. The bodies of dead Christians and Muslims piling up hold no interest for her as long as the Jews are able to govern one tiny piece of land in the Middle East.

On his way from the Presidential Palace in Bethlehem to Manger Square, Pope Francis asked the driver of his Popemobile to stop, then went down and stood beneath an Israeli watchtower. In a move no pope has ever done, Pope Francis reached out and touched the metres-high concrete barrier.

Pope Francis lay his forehead on a section filled with graffiti saying "Free Palestine" and "Bethelehem look like Warsaw Ghetto."

And your point being ?

For all you know he could have been feeling ill after drinking Crème de Menthe, and wanted to puke all over the Palestinians who have been killing his people.

I read a couple of articles today that appear to cover a lot of Pope Francis' visit.

Local demographics won't be allowed to decide the issue.

The Palestinians will be forced off their land and dispersed into the surrounding countries before that will be allowed to happen.

After waiting for 2000 years to get their homeland back, there's no way your bottom-feeding, underperforming Palestinians are getting it.

In truth, we're 80% or more of the way there, already - with the Reconquista of Eretz Yisrael.

You still don't understand what you're dealing with.

Not to worry, though... it's almost over... most of the land has already been retaken.

1. it wasn't their homeland. the so-called palestinians were part of trans-jordan and were bedoins.
2. they were offered half the land. they turned it down and left on the say-so of the grand mufti of jerusalem.
3. they kept waging war against israel. they kept losing. that's life.
4. no one gets do-overs. again.. they had every opportunity to make a deal. they won't make any deal that leaves israel in existence. well, israel doesn't need the consent of the so-called palestinians to exist. so there's no deal. once the terrorists and their supporters decide that their goal should be a state and not the destruction of israel, they'll be just fine.
5. if a group of terrorist mexicans were shooting missiles over our southern border into texas and california and demanding a "right of return", we'd turn them into a sheet of glass and no one in the world would say "boo".

funny how some people don't think the norm should apply to jews.

And I showed the total population of Christians in Palestine that has fallen from your 2005 figure of 8% to just 2.1% TODAY DUE TO THE ETHNIC CLEANSING BY THE MUSLIMS.

Even the UN have commented on this and will be taking action shortly to punish hamas and fatah.

The Christians fled the fighting rather than face rape and mass murder, some joined in with the muslims and were expelled as enemy aliens which is covered in the Geneva conventions. They do not have a right of return being enemy aliens

And you are wrong again as the majority of the Jews in Israel are from the M.E. with less than a third having European ancestry. There are over 6 million Jews outside of Israel and they don't have any need to migrate to Israel, and under the laws you are fond of quoting they cant be forced to migrate either. But the arabs have always had a demographic advantage and have failed to take advantage of it. The Israeli government could make laws banning more that 2 children per family unit and your demographics are dead in the water. On top of this is a proclamation by the UN that became international law and forbids the altering of Israel's Jewishness and its status as the JEWISH NATIONAL HOME. So the muslims are on a hiding to nothing if they try and make it Islamic.

After 4 abject failures and upsets you would think the ISLAMONAZIS and their supporters would realise that demographics mean nothing to a better armed and better trained military

Pope gives Palestinians boost of support

JERUSALEM (AP) — Pope Francis delivered a powerful boost of support to the Palestinians during a Holy Land pilgrimage Sunday, repeatedly backing their statehood aspirations, praying solemnly at Israel's controversial separation barrier and calling the stalemate in peace efforts "unacceptable."

In an unscripted move, Francis arranged a meeting between the Israeli and Palestinian presidents at the Vatican next month. The meeting, while largely symbolic, shows how the pope has sought to transform his immensely popular appeal into a moral force for peace.
One of the biggest historic victories for Israel during this papal visit was the Pope's endorsement of Zionism by his visit to Herzl's Tomb and paying respect and tribute to it.

"A day after he threw his moral weight behind the establishment of a Palestinian state, Pope Francis paid tribute Monday at the grave of Theodor Herzl, the man whose dream of a Jewish homeland led to the creation of modern-day Israel.

It was a finely balanced gesture on the last day of the pontiff’s visit to the Holy Land, where even the smallest acts are fraught with political symbolism. The wreath-laying here in Jerusalem also sought to wipe away bitter memories of a previous pope’s rejection of Zionism more than a century ago.

Francis bowed his head and, following Jewish tradition, laid a stone on Herzl’s grave as Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stood silently to one side.

The move is likely to annoy many Palestinians, who blame Zionism for the confiscation and occupation of their ancestral lands.

In another display of the delicate political juggling act that the Holy See has had to manage, Francis also accepted Netanyahu’s suggestion of an unscheduled visit Monday morning to a memorial to victims of terrorism."

No, it's not crazy.

It's perfectly sane, and laden with common sense.

The Palestinians have a very long track record of committing acts of terror against both Israelis and others.

They are in a grotesquely inferior and hopeless political and military situation.

They need to run up a white flag, and ask for terms.

Otherwise, the so-called Occupation, and the Blockade, will continue.

Want those to end?

Run up the white flag.
