I used to believe in that. To many people are still immature even at 25. Part of the result of voting younger it has screwed up people as they have gotten older with radicals all over in power in some form now. We are immature in so many ways in a mature society that is on its downswing.

The argument about the current voting age was based on the fact that if if you can draft an 18 year old to fight for his Country you should give him the opportunity to vote for the politicians who put him in harms way. The argument is still valid
