He tells of attending a Native American conference and asking the leadership if the term "Indian" offended them. The Obama Administration took legal action against the Redskins and removed the team's copyright protection for the name.
My High School team was the Indians and our colors were red & black. I never thought of the possibility of an insult. Actually, I thought of it as a way to honor our namesake, since nobody assumes the names and characteristics of wimps for team sports. Just the opposite. But then, that was 60 odd years ago.Doesn't that frost certain lefties who want to decide what's correct and what's not.
