Poll for Trump Supporters: Will you push back if he goes full fascist?

Will you withdraw support if Trump tries to impose fascism on the US

In Fascism there is no IMPLIED anything, it is ACTUAL, VIOLENT COERCION.

Government asking for co-operation in a context of constitutional democracy, with freedom of speech and independant judiciary is just that - AN ASK that a media company is reasonably free to ignore.
So you'd be okay with it if Trump "requests" TV stations to limit coverage of riots, to help keep the peace? I certainly wouldn't. Do you at least agree that any such request should be announced publicly?

Depends on what you mean by that. I would argue we're already somewhat fascist in terms of the incestuous relationship between our government and industry.

That being said, I would fight against violations of constitutional rights. If he tried to suspend freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, or any of the various other rights listed in the Constitution, then yes, I would resist the regime.
Thank. I hope there are more Trump supporters like you out there.

FASCISM IS NOT WHAT I THINK IS OK OR NOT OK. It has a specific meaning and criteria.

Trump can ask whatever he wants and make his case (and he does that every day with his highly publicized nutbag rants), but it's the punitive actions that would make an ask into outright coercion.

Though it may be hard to believe at times, most supporters of Trump are more loyal to the concept of populism than to Trump himself. It's less of a personality cult than a lot of the left is. A lot of us often criticize Trump as well. Many of us didn't like Warp Speed, but Trump seems to have conceded that he was mistaken on the vaccines. I think RFK Jr. helped him see the light on that one.

I thunk you and I would define "full fascist" as very different things.

If Trump ever said I had to submit to an experimental vax injection or give up my gas stove or buy an electric vehicle...you're damned right I would oppose it!

If he says no more perv-boys in womens sports I fully support it!

Oh so if only 40% of rightwingers are ready to annoint Trump to be their Fuhrer then there is not a problem because it's not most.

Let's be honest here. If this poll was taken among Trump supporters across the general public, the results would be quite different from any results taken here. Political forums tend to attract the most diehard supporters of the right and left. Most people loathe discussing politics, and in a way, I can't blame them.

To be fair, your average progressive isn't mindlessly loyal either, although I would argue the left suffers more from groupthink than the right, at least at the moment.

Groupthink? Is that like when 80% of the rightwingers lose their damn fucking minds for a few years and belive Trump's absolutely baseless claims that the election was stolen?

It doesn't look that baseless when looking at the difference in total votes in 2020 vs. this election.... nevermind the "irregularities" discovered in Arizona and elsewhere.

....So you figure Harris got less votes in places like NY and CA because Democrats were cheating to beat Trump there in 2020? :cuckoo:

When are you going to start using your damn head and stop posting stupid bullshit?

The scam is based on electoral votes. The most valuable votes are in swing states. So, the majority of the shenanigans happen in those states, not deep blue ones.

Harris got less votes ACROSS ENTIRE UNITED STATES, battle grounds did not somehow have outstanding missing votes, so clearly "less voting prove 2020 election cheating" argument makes no fucking sense.

Obama got 5 million less votes in 2012, compared to 2008. Why wasn't that ever any evidence of something notorious? I'll tell you why - because a loser like Trump wasn't around to shit on our elections and delude dupes like you as soon one didn't go his way.

Use your head.

It makes a lot of sense, actually. By 2024, many of the most important states enacted stricter rules regarding mail-in voting and voter ID. Also, while the media doesn't talk much about it, the GOP spent a lot of money and resources on lawyers challenging various questionable practices regarding elections and on closely observing vote counting. Implementing more electoral security and applying more legal scrutiny to the process resulted in less fraud and ultimately fewer votes overall.

So lets go over the claim again:

Less votes across the whole United States.....proves there was fraud in battleground states.

Yes, really? Thats your final conclusion? If so then you are just dumb, no two ways about it.

Yes, thats your final argument dupe?
No. More votes in 2020 in those states compared to now begs the question of why were less people voting there 4 years later despite a population increase in the interim.

There were not more votes specifically in those states, there were more votes EVERYWHERE.

Read that line untill you understand what that means and why what you are saying is silly.

Sure, and that actually adds to the questions. There were far more votes cast across the board in 2020 than in 2016, well beyond what would be expected due to the population increase, and yet, 4 years later, the numbers look closer to the ones from 2016.

Hmmm could you think of ANYTHING going on in 2020 that could possibly cause people to vote more?

Anything special come to mind at all about 2020?

Maybe like a HISTORIC PANDEMIC that had alot more people sitting at home not particularly busy with anything?

Nuuuuh, only an otherwise undetectable, nation-wide voting fraud conspiracy could be the true cause.
