Of all the times I have been down on my luck, I never even considered hunting up some drug traffickers so I could make $500 smuggling death so I could eat. Granted, that was mostly due to the idea that shit can get your ass killed one way or another.

They don't hunt up drug traffickers, the drug traffickers come to the different fisherman villages and hunt for helpers.... enticed by the money for a one time island hop.

$500 bucks is an awful lot of money for them.....in those fisherman towns...at minimum it's a month and a half of fully supporting themselves and their family with a roof overhead and food. And when the guy is working but making little, it can help ends meet for nearly a year.

The cocaine deaths doubling, tripling and 6 folding in 10 years time is from mixing cocaine with FENTANYL....it was steadily under 5000 year after year, then FENTANYL came in to the picture and deaths at 30,000 a year as claimed....5000 is a cocaine overdose alone, 25000 of those deaths come from mixing cocaine use, with fentanyl use.
