Ruin our economy and businesses to “save the planet” while leading polluters Russia, China and India are burning fossil fuels at alarming rates and have no plan to stop for the sake of “the planet”. Exactly how is destroying ourselves to save the planet this way? We plunge ourselves into darkness while the rest of “the planet” keeps using fossil fuels. Fighting climate change is the #1 priority of the Federal government, not the American people who are carbon emitters, so there is no expense or pain that the people will not experience to fight climate change.

Drilling is really not the answer To cheaper fuel. Most wells need regular fracking to stay productive. So cutting back that is hurting production. Increased environmental standards and governmental regulations are also hurting production. Going back to those regulations in place two years ago and allowing supervised fracking would increase production in the US tremendously.
Before everyone goes bananas that I do not care about the environment I care as much as anyone. I also understand that there are trade offs. Just as there are environmental trade offs when someone talks going green.

When the majority apparently confuses desire for need, energy consumption will continue to condemn us to crises. Rational thinking after past energy shortfalls would have led to much different responses than what we saw. Instead, continuing the addiction to gluttonous transport means has hurtled us again into a painful position.
Conservation would be a genuine approach. Splurging on increased pollution of all kinds will only assure the next emergency.

Not sure how anyone could blame TRUMP for Ukraine. TRUMP warned Europe dependence on Russia oil/gas would be a national security issue for them in the future. And the left's new hero Barr has even said the Russia hoax tied TRUMP's hands regarding working with Russia. TRUMP understood the need for not allowing US enemies to form alliances.

Biden has never stopped drilling for oil. He recognizes the necessity for becoming energy independent, and the only way for that to happen is to move away from oil. No matter how much oil we produce, we will pay the going rate for oil supply, so we are not energy independent. Oil drilling companies sell their oil, as the free market demands and as tump allowed to please his donors, even though he sold his followers a different bill of goods.
Under Biden, oil drilling permits have increased over the Tump years. The problem is that the oil drilling companies have lagged in drilling because they want to enhance their investor profits.
If Biden were to issue an executive order regarding drilling and selling prices, it would be socialism in full flight, and we certainly don't want that to happen, yes?
