There is an opinion that HIV is a political myth, and it does not exist, or does not lead to AIDS. If so, it could have had such a history.
HIV was first discovered in the early 80s, and was found only in faggots. It could have been a means of right-wing propaganda against faggots. But then it began to be found mainly in drug addicts, and everyone forgot about the faggots. Perhaps this was already the fruit of left-wing propaganda, because during the Clinton era they actively fought against heroin chic and heroin fashion.
