The media have their narrative about the Democrats being on shaky ground, because the media always have a narrative about Democrats being on shaky ground, but a new poll suggests something else:

Independents favor impeachment 48-41. And the media really might want to pay attention to this:

POLITICO/Morning Consult poll: 52-43 for impeachment, 52-42 for removal, 54-27 wants witnesses

Why don't Republicans want a fair trial? Why don't Republicans want witnesses? What are Republicans afraid of?

53 percent of Senators want the trial to end very quickly without Trump being removed from office.

Trump the projector says its rigged. Think that will reflect on the 2020. On reflection of the 2018 elections, 18-29 year old voting block thinks so. FDT and the GOP.

Funny, here's another poll on POLITICO:

Poll: Obama worst prez since WWII
Poll: Obama worst prez since WWII - POLITICO

A plurality of voters think Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, a new poll says.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, 33 percent of voters think the current president is the worst since 1945.

DONALD TRUMP'S APPROVAL RATING SURPASSES OBAMA'S, NOT JUST ON RASMUSSEN REPORTS
Donald Trump's approval rating surpasses Obama's and it wasn't just on Rasmussen Reports

President Donald Trump's job approval rating this week averaged across major polls surpassed that of his predecessor President Barack Obama at the same time eight years ago, giving some actual good news to Trump who is known to cite only conservative-leaning polls to bolster his image.

Trump's approval rating on Wednesday was 44.3 percent, according to a Real Clear Politics average of more than a half-dozen major polls. That is higher than Obama's average approval rating of 43.9 percent on September 18, 2011, by the same measure.

The 45th president's average approval rating surpassed that of his predecessor on Monday and stayed on top for the next two days. Trump's average approval rating on Monday was 44.1 percent compared to Obama's 43.9 percent on September 16, 2011, and 44 percent on Tuesday compared to Obama's 43.8 percent on September 17, 2011.

From the politico article.
POLITICO/Morning Consult polls showed slightly greater support for impeaching Trump than other public surveys. So there polls have been an outlier. The truth is recent polls have showed no real change in people's views on impeachment with Democrats and Republicans Democrats favor it Republicans oppose it. There has however been a change with indpendents especially in swing states with support for impeachment dropping.

.
Now that the House has impeached President Trump, the Senate will hold a trial to decide whether or not he should be removed from office. What do you think President Trump should do:

46% said to fight
41% said to resign.

49% said he should not be removed from office vs 44% said he should be.

Legally he has not been impeached yet.

Beyond that, the Senate should dismiss the case because the House did not include any high crimes or misdemeanors in the articles of impeachment.

We wanted one in the House.

What happened?
They don't conduct trials in the house.

Surely you knew this.

Too bad independents are turning strongly against this sham impeachment. There goes 2020 right into Trump’s hands.
