Let's back Thomas Massie. About the only politician in D.C. with a moral backbone.

I "am sold" on the actual Word of God as found in the New Testament which tells the story of Christ. I couldn't care less about the false history as told by the modern Sanhedrin and modern Pharisees. The Bible tells me to "not yoke myself with unbelievers." Anyone who denies Christ and His divinity is NOT my ally and never will be.
NT says he was slew (stoned) & hanged
Acts 5:30 "Jesus, whom ye slew (stoned)and hanged on a tree" Acts 10:39 "whom they slew and hanged on a tree" Acts 13:29 "they took him down from the tree" 1 Peter 2:24 "who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree"

So why were you taught Constantine's vision of the cross (the mark of death- thus the mark of the beast? )

Sources for the Galilean Christ Yehuda:
Luke mentions him once, in
Acts 5:37, and Josephus several times, once here, sect. 6; and B. XX. ch. 5. sect. 2; Of the War, B. II. ch. 8. sect. 1; and ch. 17. sect. 8, calls this Judas, who was the pestilent author of that seditious doctrine and temper which brought the Jewish nation to utter destruction, a Galilean; but here (sect. 1) Josephus calls him a Gaulonite, of the city of Gamala; it is a great question where this Judas was born, whether in Galilee on the west side, or in Gaulonitis on the east side, of the river Jordan; while, in the place just now cited out of the Antiquities, B. XX. ch. 5. sect. 2, he is not only called a Galilean, but it is added to his story, "as I have signified in the books that go before these," as if he had still called him a Galilean in those Antiquities before, as well as in that particular place, as Dean Aldrich observes, Of the War, B. II. ch. 8. sect. 1

*evidence: NT stories of King Herod died 4bc and Lysanias the Tetrarch(died35bc)is of Yehuda's era, but not any AD Pilate era Christs.
This is why they had to move the birthdate back to 6bc to fit King Herod stories and the Census story but still the geniuses forgot Lysanias hoping you'd never learn your history (burning books to make sure you don't read), but they never imagined you going to and fro gaining knowledge over an internet- Dan 12:1-4.-oops

Can you name all the HISTORICAL Christs used in the Jesus legend?
There's at least a Trinity of them, but even more Christs existed from 100bc- 70ad
Christians=those that worshiped a christ figure. Paul and James argued each worshiped another Christ, John of Patmos argued other sects were worshiping another Christ.
Rome even had Mithra churches where the Mithra cross with sickly man like the Pope (John Paul¿) used to carry, Mithraic cross was at the altar and they simply repurposed it, now called the Bascilica.

The Bible tells us not to add to or take away from the Word of God. You literally added your own word in parentheses. Here's what Acts 5:30 actually says, "The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree."

Strong's Concordance: "Slew" G1315 - diacheirizō - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv) It literally means to "kill or slay."

There is only one Jesus Christ. The Son of God and God in the flesh (John 1:1 & 14). There are many false "christs."

Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

I am not deceived by the "false christs." Even the ones who claim to be the collective Christ. You know who I'm talking about.

1)I used the word stoning, because that's the form of punishment as per John and knowledge of the era (slew with a stone) in that time period and that's what happened to the 100bc figure Yeshu son of Mary per Historians and various mentions in Talmud which accurately date and reference Rabbis (like his mentor Rabbi Yohoshua Ben Perachyah) to their time periods.
2) You changed what YOUR Bible said, you changed What historians said, You used their enemy Rome's propaganda and slant narrative, you /they changed what the OT said to fit their sham like press changesxevents today to fit their narrative,
you avoided the conclusion of your own arguments by smokescreening selectively one angle of argument to avoid addressing the rest
3) how is this not exactly how the left avoids reality of truth and make their own new reports on historical coverage?

"Stoning" was a manner of death used by the keepers of the Mosaic Laws. Christ was slain by the Romans who preferred crucifixion during that era.

The Bible is a book of prophecy, morality, AND history. Written by inspired Prophets who were also historians.

The Talmud is a mish-mash of babblings that allow for some pretty evil stuff. A bit too X-rated to discuss here.

Glad you finally admitted it was carried out by Rome, but once again, that was the Galilean tax revolter and his 2 sons crucified in 6bc not the Benny Hinn maggis show type son of Mary stoned and hanged around 88bc.
The sudden trashing of Talmud (which is good at dating historical figures) was only done by those who couldn't answer as to why they had a trinity of Christs in their image of Jesus. They had to trash the text to make it seem less historical valid and to demonize Jews sort of like what Dems did with Project 2025 to demonize the GOP.
But this still avoids how can a 6bc born Jesus be in Lysanias the Tetrarch's era if Lysanias died in 35bc?
