Let's summarize one more time...
The argument is about surface air pressure SAP. We know that in a rigid container temperature is correlated with pressure. A planet's atmosphere is different. It is rigid on one side and force (gravity) constrained on the other.
The "official definition" of SAP is
Surface air pressure is the force that air exerts on the Earth's surface due to gravity
with no mention of temperature at all. EMH challenged that. EMH postulated that SAP is correlated with temperature.
Ding and Toddster responded....
In the Northern Hemisphere, surface air pressure is generally higher in the winter than in the summer... by about 1%
So EMH was "wrong." Well, not so fast...
There is another explanation of why Earth SAP is higher during northern hemisphere winter...
In the Northern Hemisphere, Earth is closer to the Sun during winter (perihelion) than in summer (aphelion), meaning the distance between Earth and the Sun is smaller in winter than in summer
The Sun is about 95 million miles away in summer, but just 92 million in winter and this is because Earth's orbit is elliptical, with Earth following the closer part of its path during the northern winter.
So maybe Surface Air Pressure has something to do with distance from Sun = temperature
What about Mars? Mars has a much more elliptical orbit than Earth...

and there you have it. Yes, indeed, SAP is correlated with distance from Sun = temperature.
The stated definition of SAP is wrong. EMH is right. Mars proves it.
And then what about Earth. If SAP and temperature are correlated, and higher temperature means more ice is melting, releasing more gas into atmosphere, then surely Earth SAP is going up, because Co2 FRAUD claims Earth is warming and experiencing a net ice melt...
But that is not the case...
Earth SAP is on a 70 year slight down trend.
Surface Air Pressure proves Earth is neither warming nor experiencing an ongoing net ice melt.
