Please help Mortimer its very important

They were absolutely desirable in the Cold War times (but even then it was not so obvious). France in the 1960s demanded all foreign troops to leave the country; there were widespread demonstrations in West Germany against 'arms race'.

Now? Who knows. Europe doesn't have elites who dare to defy the US.
It wasn’t just in and before the 1960s that nations saw what an aggressive and militarized nation could do to other nations.

Many of those concerns remain perfectly applicable today.

If Russia were to behave along even just similar lines, today, as Nazi Germany undertook in the late 1930s, the nation or nations so invaded might well wish they had our bases nearby to help thwart the enemy.

The list of countries invaded by the US and allies is quite long.

If they want to have your bases on their territory, they can have them, for all I care. Though, I don't think anyone in say Spain or Italy or Netherlands is really afraid of Russia invading their countries. The Baltic dwarfs only. But anyway, it is up to them.

I think geopolitical issues are way beyond your comprehension.

So you justify what the West does but when Russia does something like that it is an aggression. And who questions that is too dumb. I don´t think we need a bully who pretends to be police.

It would be helpful if you could explain whatever it is you seem to imagine you’re saying.

In WWII the U.S. invaded Germany. I don’t believe we were in any way in the wrong for doing that under the circumstances.

So the answer to what you consider a real “gotcha” is obvious: it depends upon the circumstances.

If you count WWII in particular.
Particular after that. The very first one was because Chicita worried about their revenues and it never stopped since then. Not a single second of peace. But now the Russians do wage war and the unscrupulous pirates turned into righteous defenders that value international law. It is beyond ridiculousness and Trump promised to end this.

I am not about WWII. Maybe that is the only example for justified intervention.

? In English perhaps?

The balance of your post is mostly gibberish. Maybe you could try to be at least a wee tiny bit precise?

I think it was a justified war.

If (reading between the lines of your unclear prose) you are saying that no wars or battles in which the U.S. has used any of its military might since the end of WWII is justified or justification, then that might be the basis of a discussion.

Perhaps not in this thread however.

Yes, I know that. I have met so many experts in foreign relations here, that I sometimes think I attend a meeting in the DoS.

I am not the one who permanently blames the US. Discusses the same shit over and over again. But I think that its worth mentioning since the Russians are blamed every day 24h non-stop.

You are still off topic. Granted, this topic has but limited appeal. But still. Your focus is unrelated to it.
