SARS, Swine Flu, MERS, Ebola (several outbreaks), coronavirus, all during the last 20 years... predicting humankind will have to face pandemics in the future is about as surprising as predicting the sun will rise the next day. Planning for such events, and looking into our preparedness for such near-inevitable events, would be the smart thing to do.

How smart it would have been to take this seriously, and to act on the shortcomings previous exercises revealed, we have now occasion to realize given the monumental failure to contain coronavirus. Watching some going all paranoid over the exercises is patently disheartening.

Then you incite riots among people who have cabin fever from being cooped up for the last 10-12 weeks, claiming them to be "mostly peaceful", while subjecting the truly peaceful protests of those objecting to the lockdowns in the most derisive and derogatory manner.

I don't think I even want to know what it is you are smoking, Sparky.

No one had "a plan" for Covid-19 prior to our knowing about it. There is no such thing as "a plan", because it's the virus, and its specific properties that dictate the counter measures. They just have a set of best practices, like, how to gather information on a new virus, and fast, how to get the involved agencies to work together, how to share information between government agencies, and between these agencies and research institutions, how safely to develop vaccines, how to make sure relevant information is being made available internationally. In the end, it's governments doing the planning and the implementation, based on preparedness and on incoming information.

C-19 wasn't dropped in anyone's lap - I don't even know what that is supposed to mean. The virus was spreading, in a most aggressive manner, between people, peoples and continents.

And no, I don't want to know who you think the "they" are who allegedly "own every head of state" - there is no such "they", just as there is no "they" who own "the world banks' trillions to back 'em up". That's just nonsense.
