Photoshop7 versus CS

I've been using P7 for over a year; having taken courses in it and all; I like it fine.

I have an opportunity to upgrade to P-CS, and am wondering if the learning curve is worth it. From what I hear, CS can do many wondrous things with .RAW files, but all mine off my camera are .JPG.

With that in mind, is it worth it to upgrtade? I'd like to hear from people who have actually used both versions.
