ASEAN's exports to the U.S. topped those to China for the second consecutive quarter in the April to June period, underscoring America's growing importance to the region as the U.S.-China trade war intensifies and China's economy slows, prompting shifts in global supply chains.

And why is this happening...

"Aside from the resilient performance of the U.S. economy, which implies more demand from most other countries, this [increase] could be a result of pivots in global supply chains away from China since the pandemic,

The resilient performance of the U.S. economy, which for all the doom and gloom we see daily, is kicking ass.

Dont tell JoeB131

He thinks the chicoms are doing great and kicking US ass

You do realize that "exports" aren't necessarily a good thing,

The gist of this thread is that china’s economy is getting weaker not stronger

So the Middle Kingdom better keep building its military

Because in the future gentle persuasion wont be enough to bring the world under its thumb

That's not the gist at all, guy. It just means that SE Nations (most of which are economic trainwrecks) sold more raw goods to the US than PRC last year.

You are wrong as usual

We are developing an alliance with Vietnam against china

This would be the same Vietnam that killed 56,000 of our service members. They are our buddies now. No, really!
