I've been honestly trying to sus out why so many seemingly normal people would vote for trump. After much consideration, and research, I came across an article that convinced me the search was a waste of time. There is no rational reason why anyone would vote for Trump. When his supporters publicly announce that Trump is Hitler, but they voted for him anyway because we need a dictator, there is no logical reason for their support.

Most Americans vote based on primal instinct, not intelligence. Trump is seen as an aggressive, mean 'Alpha' male. The monkeys would never vote for an intelligent, hardworking, good-natured female.

It's only when things get really bad that they will use their intelligence in deciding who to vote for.
