There are more taxes than just the income tax. A lot of it is paid by the lower classes. Frankly, according to the constitution the federal income tax is very questionable though. And the way the federal income tax was written we are supposed to pay it every few months or so. Like businesses do. The powers that be though many decades got judges to do us a favor and take it out of our salaries. Why? They know a lot of people will not send the federal government money owed as taxes.
