Fair point—Hamas has made Gaza a nightmare, no argument there.

At the same time, when you say “Israel doesn’t need to make the offer,” that’s kind of the point. If someone’s house is on fire and you offer them a tent you control on your lawn—with armed guards and a turnstile—it’s less “generous neighbor” and more “relocation with mood lighting.”

We can agree Hamas is the villain in this play—but that doesn’t automatically make Israel the hero. Sometimes the whole cast needs to be booed off stage so the audience can finally get a popcorn refill in peace.

And say what you will about Trump, but at least his Gaza proposal involved international investment, economic zones, and building something other than rubble. Might not have solved everything, but it sure beat another season of “War Crimes and Rockets.”
