I believe that this is significantly good news because the Palestinian people will be much more likely to accept aid from USA soldiers than from Jews wearing an Israeli uniform.

Frankly, this is a good opportunity for Canada and the USA and the western democracies, to train citizens and legal residents with some understanding of the Arabic language to be involved in this critical mission to the Middle East.

There is a large number of muslim terrorists who would dearly love to kill as many US military as possible, and a local US military base would allow them to do that much cheaper and easier. And such an installation would cost a ton of money to build and maintain, aside from the number of US servicemen that would be killed or maimed every year.
