People receiving welfare are complaining they now cannot buy candy and soda with tax money they are given

No the topic is Conservatives judging the food habits of the poor and denying them luxuries like soda and snacks

I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of Conservatives willing to contribute to a corporate executive flying private jets and driving in limousines.
what have you done about closing tax loopholes for the rich? Noyt a damn thing, you have consistently voted for the rich in every election, hypocrite.

Nice pivot

Now comment on the hypocrisy of allowing extravagant executive perks while denying a poor person a freaking soda

Okay, I found the supposed report you cited.
"Supposed"?
So not a "government survey", but one by the American Enterprise Institute, a nutbag right-wing think tank.
Ok, might not be the same survey, but even if it is AEI, can you point to what they got wrong? Or is it that you only believe something if it comes from left wing sites?
Nowhere near what someone would make working 70 hours a week. The fact that you had to cite a two-adult family would mean each adult was getting less than 40K in benefits, and I doubt even that is true.
So, two adults making $40K per year off of government assistance? wow! Why should anyone work?

Look, I, like most people work everyday to make what I make, and do the right things to save, and provide. Why should some able bodied people make similar income for doing nothing, and you have no problem with it? If you ask me, welfare should only be limited to say, 6 months, and it should be tied to work training and placement. And after you have completed this, then you are barred from getting any assistance again for a period of 5 years.

I have to laugh at the hypocrisy of conservatives.

When Michelle Obama advocated for healthier school lunches, they were outraged.

When Trump says poor people can’t buy soda and snacks, they celebrate

When have we ever told a poor person they can’t buy soda? They can buy soda the same way everyone else does.

They are NOT entitled to have OTHER PEOPLE pay for whatever they want.
You guys completely lost your shit when Bloomberg tried to ban Big Gulps
You guys completely lost your shit when Michelle tried to put more veggies and less junk food in School lunches.

But now you are supposedly really concerned with the health of poor people!!!

Quite honestly, this seems a bit cruel and petty.

Yeah, there’s a little of that, but also remember what Big Mike was doing to those lunches…kids wouldn’t even eat them….

Now, you’re upset that they can’t buy soda and chips? We have an obesity epidemic in the USA, dummy.

You ***** about others but see yourself as something holy, the comparison isn’t honest and you know it.

The thread is about people on welfare not being able to buy candy, you are talking about tax deductions. You are a hypocrite.

You don’t see how those situations are different? Really?

One is a liberal control freak telling Americans what they can and can’t buy with their own money. And the other had merits, but poor follow through in cooking on a large scale.

For the record, I don’t disagree with trying to make school lunch more healthy, but maybe start with ejecting MickyDs, and BurgerKing out of the lunch room.

The subject isn’t about how corporations take legal loopholes that you support and endorse every time you vote, you take no responsibility. If you want to talk about tax deductions then start a thread on it instead of diverting.

No it is not an honest comparison
The excesses of business executives far exceed those of a poor person drinking soda

That's what Michelle tried to do, and you guys lost your shit when she did.

So this isn't about helping poor people eat healthier, it's about shaming poor people and making some minimum wage cashier the bad guy.

Ya see Skippy, it is hard to find comparable examples of the wealthy abusing food stamps ( which they do benefit from )

So you have to look at comparable extravagances. The poor don’t get to write off the soda they drink as a business expense. But the wealthy get to write off private jets.

No, as I said Joe, I agreed with Big Mike’s thoughts on making school lunch more healthy. I disagreed with her follow through.

I don’t disagree, but that is not the topic, you need it to be the topic, because you and me and every other American created this issue because we are not smart enough to end a terrible two party system that works for the rich, you just hate accepting responsibility, so all your self righteous indignation is just an excuse to not accept your role in the seperation of wealth from poor to the rich.

Your party was in charge when the two greatest separations of wealth occurred in our life time. They had the Presidency, the House and the Senate and you endorsed it, in fact it was your party being so inept and unaware that allowed Trump into office twice. So please continue hypocrite.

See dumbass, it is real easy to find you supporting the greatest separations in history and even endorsing it at the expense of the poor, your party was in charge both times, the first time it gave your rich buds great wealth that your party decided to do it all over again. Instead of stopping it, warning about it, you endorsed it, so I am really not interested in your fake concern over the health of the poor, because it is obvious you don’t give a shit and use it to further divide America.
