Horowitz has already filed a report proving an FBI lawyer falsified a document in their case against Carter Page. Ummm, that's a CRIME!

"Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has found evidence that an FBI lawyer manipulated a key investigative document related to the FBI's secretive surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser -- enough to change the substantive meaning of the document, according to multiple reports."

'Mistakes'. Horowitz has already used such language in earlier reports, attempting NOT to call what he found exactly what it is - 'crimes'.

For example, an earlier US IG report reported the FBI failed to manage its 'foreign information collection and reporting assets' - aka its stable of foreign ex-spies / human sources of information. This is a 'nice' way to say that the FBI has failed to keep records on foreign sources they use to collect information, failing to do frequent background and info checks on them to ensure they are still working for US and not 'playing us', to make sure they do not have their own personal agendas they are using the FBI to advance, and / or to ensure they are still trustworthy.

In this report Horowitz specifically intentionally exposes the fact that Steel was one of those ex-foreign spies they did not make an effort on to ensure all of these things. Horowitz reported, as we already know, the STATE DEPARTMEN, not the FBI, discovered during an interview with Steele - before the FISA Warrants were filed, that Steele was intentionally lying to the State Department - lies easily and quickly debunked on the spot but not let known to Steele - and that Steele revealed his own personal anti-Trump bias and agenda of harming his election chances. The State Department reported Steele had a personal deadline to get his Russian-authored Counter-Intelligence Propaganda-filled 'Dossier' LEAKED out to the public prior to the 2016 election. Horowitz reported the State Department Rep immediately informed the FBI after the meeting that Steele could no longer be trusted as a reliable source of information...but that the FBI completely ignored the report / warning.
