Peace Or Piece?????????

Yom Kippur, and it too less than three weeks

"...Anyone with a fraction of knowledge of the Arabian peninsula's history knows how this will end...The West is not going to save Israel surrounded in a sea of Islam by 1.2 billion people..."
The Jews of Israel are not surrounded by 1.2 billion Muslims.

The Jews of Israel are surrounded by a few score million Muslims, whom the Jews have beaten back several times, until the Arabs exhausted themselves, and gave up, before turning inwards once again and fighting amongst themselves so long and hard so as to cripple the Muslim-Arab war-making ability for many years to come.

Yea a few score, while Jihadist from all over the world fight this very day in the ME skirmishes...Even today I doubt Israel could halt a concerted land invasion...she barely held off the Egyptians in 73...if it wasn't for US arms shipments she may have lost...that's why she made peace with Egypt...If she uses her nukes, Pakistan will nuke her.

You say the Muslims won't do anything for centuries? Maybe. In human history, that is a very short time.

Not to worry, Egypt's Dictators won't attack Israel this coming Yom Kipper, they are allies along with Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf Sheiks and Kings trying to hold off the Arab Spring who is overthrowing them all for Islamist regimes by the masses.

America is withdrawing, Israel should bite the bullet and accept the last Arab league offer or face a radicalized ME in the near future.

Hear that, Israel? The sky is falling!

US have several thousand troops in Jordan that are not going anywhere in the next year. Navy in the gulf and med, troops in Afghanistan and Turkey. Air force in Saudi. US has plans for a base in northern Lebanon.
US is not leaving.

As usual you post wishful thinking from a right wing Zionist Crystal Ball...

Brave new region? America's Mideast allies face U.S. withdrawal

Obama's modest new Middle East policy is costing the U.S. the trust of its allies while emboldening its adversaries.

These days the United States’ allies in the Middle East seem to trust it less, and its enemies fear it less. Allies are grumbling about shortcomings in U.S. policy. Adversaries seem emboldened by an America that has become more cautious in the way it uses its power.

It is tempting to dismiss this as the usual cacophony that accompanies U.S. policy in the Middle East. But what we are witnessing is not a recent development, nor a passing one. The Obama administration is subtly changing America’s position in the Middle East in ways that will have a major effect on regional alliances and potentially on the regional order.

American policy toward Iran is the most recent issue to raise the blood pressure of allies like Israel and Saudi Arabia. Both fear that President Obama is being outmanoeuvred by the wily mullahs of Tehran in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

But this is only the latest in a growing list of complaints. Gulf Arabs have grown particularly disillusioned with Washington’s purported failure to save the regime of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and to punish that of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Meanwhile, adversaries and competitors seem to sense an opportunity. The way in which Russia, Iran and Hezbollah have firmly rallied around the Assad regime is just one example of how these actors feel empowered to take advantage while Washington seems to dither.

Of course, Saudi Arabia’s or Israel’s ties with the U.S. have survived deep policy disagreements before, and America remains vital to their basic security.

That all changes, January 20, 2017.

And a Republican-controlled House will keep things from getting too far out-of-hand between now and then.

They know it

We know it.

The only ones who don't know it are Fearless Leader, certain surrender-monkeys in his Administration, and the few remaining ObamaBots...

The AIPAC connection is very strong and Israel uses it like a tool, but the tide is turning as military adventures by America has sobered its people...Sorry Kondor, Israel is on the wrong side of History and the Pariah of the known world.

Americans are done fighting for her.

I guess what bothers me the most is seeing the Israelis destroy helpless Palestinian homes is because these very people suffered a Holocaust within our life-times in Germany...You've got to ask, having gone trough this, how can they dole it out so systematically despite condemnation by the UN and everybody else on Planet Earth?
The UN's lack of interest in adopting palistanians is disturbing.

You paint a Rosy picture, but I doubt the Palestinians are going to swap Jerusalem for a desert oasis...Then why is the UN condemning it and countries are cautioning their citizens no to deal with any entities in the illegal settlements? While you mention the Bedouins, the Israeli are destroying a way of life that has existed longer than Judaism has existed. This is not Zionist co-existence but that of Cultural Warfare.
Drivel.

The relationship will go back to normal on January 20, 2017... and, until then, we'll keep sending arms and money her way, regardless. The Israelis can wait-out Obama. Only 3 years left to go.
