Israel expands its borders to include part of Lebanon (3.24.26)

At the 1:15 mark the narrator reveals that the area being described is in "ancient Judea".

Indeed, the Maccabees extended the rule of Judea all the way to the north.

Apparently semantics don't decide the course of history,
at least not as the decisions of the royal tribe.

Can you show the new map?

The Hasmonean dynasty was just a 70-year blip in the history of the Jews and their territory is absent from maps of the period in question.

So, do todays Jews have a territorial claim to the lands outside of Judea that the Maccabee's occupied?

They're everywhere. You can't sling a stone without hitting an Arab. The question is why are the Jews occupying land that was not their ancestral homeland?
What a strange hypocrisy. Arabs are everywhere. Shrug. But Jews must be contained by the most stringent of (fabricated) rules.

This is just another attempt to disenfranchise the Jewish people from their ancestral homeland and history.

Can you post a map of the Jews ancestral homeland and a map of the territory they now occupy?

Well, I could. But what would be the purpose of providing such maps? There is a current reality.

What I'm seeking is for you to articulate some sort of coherent argument around how the territory of self-determining newly reconstituted (or constituted) States should be determined. You seem to be arguing that the newly formed States can not be founded on territory outside their smallest historical territorial boundaries, even over a long 3000+ year history, and FURTHER that they may not be permitted to LIVE outside those boundaries.

If the Jews use the pretext of 'ancestral lands' they should be limited to those lands. However, the real issue is that the presence of the Jews there is setting the table for Armageddon.

Because Muslims are allowed to occupy more land and never give any back?
Back to who? God gave them those desert lands. He gave Israel lands "flowing with milk and honey". No milk and honey flowing in those deserts, only oil (which the west developed for them). Better yet, the west (the lands flowing with milk and honey) were the only markets for the oil.

The people they took it from.

Are you ok? Still asleep?

Sometimes the lands God gives must be conquered, squatters removed. That includes the lands God gave to the descendants of Ishmael.

15th post
I agree, the Muslim squatters must all return to Saudi Arabia.
There were 12 principle tribal descendants of Ishmael and likely many subtribes. They've been squabbling over one thing or another forever. It's one big unhappy family.

I don't do religious arguments for modern States and international law. The principle of self-determination is a modern concept and many factors influence the exact territorial boundaries of an emerging self-determining State. Preventing the "presence of Jews" in any territory in the world is discrimination, apartheid and, ethnic cleansing.

Channel 15 (Israel): New Details on Hezbollah’s Ambush Along the Banks of the Litani River Last Month

  • In the first days of the ground fighting, a force from Battalion 890 and the “Yahalom” unit set out on a special mission to take control of an area on the opposite side of the Litani River. The force prepared for about 36 hours before executing the operation, including the preparation of engineering equipment.
  • At the height of the operation inside Lebanese territory, Hezbollah began showering the Israeli force with dozens of rockets and mortar shells.
  • During one of the rocket barrages, Sergeant Moshe Yitzhak Katz was killed, and around 20 soldiers and officers were wounded to varying degrees.
  • During the evacuation of the wounded, the division command center managing the operation hesitated between halting the critical mission and withdrawing because the force had been exposed, or continuing despite being under heavy fire.
  • Due to the large number of casualties among the troops, it was not possible to continue the mission. The elements of surprise and the ability to cross to the other side of the Litani River—both crucial factors for success—were lost.
Further Details on Hezbollah’s Ambush Along the Litani River Last Month

  • Following the heavy rocket and mortar fire, the Israeli “Yahalom” force retreated and left behind the equipment they had brought with them (bulldozers, inflatable boats, and other means), while Battalion 890 remained alone for a long time in the heart of the ambush area.
  • After more than an hour, and following a joint assessment by the regional and division commanders, it was decided to abort the mission to rescue the force. The troops were ordered to withdraw and left the area without their engineering equipment.
  • Hezbollah later published footage documenting the bulldozers, transport vehicles, and other equipment left behind in Lebanese territory.
