This is PBS. They’re supposed to be on our side, right? There’s talk of another coronavirus stimulus dominating the Hill.

The August recess has been put on hold until an agreement is hashed out. Pelosi said there will be a compromise, but Woodruff’s line-by-line questioning on where common ground could be found was met with frustration from the top Democrat.

Listen to the video clip. Pelosi is stating quite clearly that Democrats refuse to move off of their demands. All Woodruff is trying to do is ask the Speaker if there is a compromise possible and Nancy starts getting agitated that anyone would ever consider such a thing! It's quite obvious that both she and Chuck Schumer think this is something they can use against the Republicans in the Fall elections. If they REALLY wanted to help Americans who are still out of work because of the shutdowns that THEY have instigated then they should work to find a figure that the GOP would go for! In order for that to work however Pelosi and Schumer need the main stream media to go along with the narrative that it's the mean old GOP that doesn't want to help! If someone like Woodruff starts asking why Pelosi and Schumer haven't compromised so that much needed money IS going out to the unemployed then that narrative gets blown out of the water!
