Paramount Agrees to pay Trump $16 million in CBS 60 Minutes lawsuit

You're the one who cried out, "Russia, Russia, Russia!!!!" for four years and refuses to believe that Mueller was unable to find collusion between Trump and Russia in getting elected.
That’s a lie.
If you're now unable to understand election interference, you are too stupid to exchange posts with.
You made it up. There’s no law about “election interference” relevant to this case. Citizens United made it clear that people have broad free speech rights even when it comes to federal elections.
LOL!!!! Of course, but when they operate only presenting one sided news and manipulate an interview to protect an extremely poor candidate they support, they're stuck with the consequences
There’s no legal consequences for engaging in protected speech, and editing an interview is absolutely protected speech. You can whine about it all you want, but the second you start bringing in the law to force the issue, then you’re infringing on the first amendment.

No it doesn't.... A contract is a legally binding agreement between two or more parties... if one breaks the contract he or she is not subject to arrest they are risking a lawsuit... not incarceration....
You’re just playing semantics again. A contract represents a legal responsibility, meaning you’re subject to legal consequences if you don’t fulfill it.

The same as you’re trying to say with reporters, that if they don’t stay “unbiased”, they’re subject to legal consequences.

Stop playing word games, but I can see that’s your only hope to save this pathetic argument.

What were you yammering about while crying out, "Russia, Russia, Russia!!" for all those years?

There’s no legal consequences for engaging in protected speech, and editing an interview is absolutely protected speech.
Yet, CBS settled Trump's suit against them and produced a transcript they stubbornly refused to do for 4 months after manipulating an interview of a presidential candidate they supported a month prior to the election.

🤔

There are laws against foreign election interference. Foreign entities are not protected by the first amendment.

What does that have to do with CBS?

Yet, CBS settled Trump's suit against them and produced a transcript they stubbornly refused to do for 4 months after manipulating an interview of a presidential candidate they supported a month prior to the election.
True. But that does not necessarily reflect the validity of the case against CBS. But more likely the extent to which Trump can punish them through the authority he has as president of the United States.

We said the same thing about the expired accounting misdemeanors that you went after Trump for. Didn't seem to matter then. Bank even said they weren't harmed at all and would love to do business with Trump in the future. You didn't care, you wanted Trumps ass on a platter.

So it doesn't matter now.
Who are you calling 'you' here? And what are you accusing me of that is so over the top it is laughable?

You must not have read any more than the first line of my post.

Why were they not enforced when Hillary hired Christopher Steele who hired Russians to produce the dossier?

It's already been told to you. The responsibility it ethical and it opens them up to lawsuits and ridicule when they fail.
But that does not necessarily reflect the validity of the case against CBS.
lol. Actually, it does. But believe what you want.

It’s complicated and unrelated to the topic.

If you’re subject to legal consequences for a responsibility then it goes well beyond an ethical responsibility and becomes a legal responsibility.
lol. Actually, it does. But believe what you want.
Not at all. People settle lawsuits for all sorts of reasons.

It’s complicated and unrelated to the topic.
No, it's not. And it's extremely relevant to your own hypocrisy. I'll mark this down as a white flag from you.

If you’re subject to legal consequences for a responsibility then it goes well beyond an ethical responsibility and becomes a legal responsibility.
This has already been explained to you. Fail in your ethical responsibilities and open yourself to lawsuits.

Now, I'm pretty sure you're stupid. But cult members often appear that way, too.

Start a thread on my “hypocrisy” because this thread is about Trump’s hypocrisy in trying to shut down free speech.

It’s all just semantics with you losers.

You can’t sue someone for failing “ethical” responsibilities. You can sue someone for failing legal responsibilities.

Even if we accept your accusation that CBS was behaving in a partisan manner, they have a first amendment right to do so. You can’t successfully sue someone for engaging in protected speech.

Iran wants peace... give it a rest... oh and Trump's bill passed... winning sure feels good and you are not going to rain on my parade with such a stupid debate...

I care that the first amendment isn’t corroded by an authoritarian president.

I get it. You can’t defend this guy. You’re not even trying anymore because you just have nothing.

You don’t actually care anyway. Not sure why you’re even trying to defend Trump here. It’s just easier for you to ignore this shit.

No you don’t. You just want to punish the people who say things you don’t like.

You ******* love slanted dishonest shit when it’s pro-Trump.

Trump is punishing CBS which is exactly what you want.
Bonus... do you know how much damage fake news has done to America?... comon man... they covered up the biggest swindle in US history... a mentally impaired president with an unelected staff calling all the shots...
