  • For Palestinian Christians, the destruction of the ancient Byzantine church ruins is yet a further attempt by Palestinian Muslim leaders to efface both Christian history and signs of any Christian presence in the West Bank and Gaza, under the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas. A growing number of Christians feel they are being systematically targeted by both the PA and Hamas for being Christians.

  • Bulldozers were used to destroy some of the church artifacts; some Palestinian Christians accused both Hamas and the PA of copying ISIS tactics to demolish historic sites.

  • "Where are the heads of the churches in Jerusalem and the world?... Where are the Vatican and UNESCO? Where are the leaders and politicians who talk, talk, talk about national unity and the preservation of holy sites? Or is this a collective conspiracy to end our existence and history in the East?" — Sami Khalil, a Christian from the West Bank city of Nablus.

  • The plight of Palestinian Christians does not interest the international community. That is because Israel cannot be blamed for demolishing the antiquities. If the current policy against Christians persists, the day will come when no Christians will be left in Bethlehem.

Palestinians: Erasing Christian History

Palestinian Muslim attitudes towards non Muslims in general are no different than their neighboring brethern in the region. Especially considering the fact that they have been led by Islamist fanatics and radicals. I don't know why people expect them to be any different. In fact it can be said that they are worse.

Only when there is a secular strongman such as King Hussien of Jordan, or Egypt's Sissi can the ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of non Muslims be prevented.

Now for the real story, as Sally gets her articles from Zionist biased articles;

I dare say the place is of historical value,” said Abu Rida, estimating the ruins to date from somewhere between 395 and the late 600s C.E.

Dozens of onlookers watched on Monday as a bulldozer and a digger continued to shift earth in Palestine Square, a busy shopping district in downtown Gaza. Bystanders used their phones to take pictures and video of the archaeological pieces laid out next to the digging site.

The discovery was first made on Saturday, as construction workers prepared the ground for a shopping center. The antiquities ministry was called in and immediately uncovered three large pieces. Then a dozen more were found.

Several discoveries have been made in recent years but a lack of funding and skills has hindered the ministry’s ability to excavate and preserve the findings, Abu Rida said. His ministry employs just 40 excavation workers.

“The site we are talking about is 2,000 square meters and 10 meters deep and requires hundreds of workers and millions of dollars to carry out proper excavation to extract pieces and read the texts written on them,” he said.

With land shortage in such short demand in Gaza, go ahead and build and dig, this article is trying to show a bad lite on Hamas. Now the loaves of fishes church was standing and burnt down recently by jews.

Gatestone is the last place you should be calling Zionist as it deals with the Palestinians in the same way.

IN OTHER WORDS IT IS COMPLETELY UNBIASED.

I remember people bitching about this story not that long ago. Seems to me a bunch of construction workers were working, and didn't give a shit. If religious people want to be butthurt about it that's their choice.

Now for something by the Palestinian Christians, not a self-hating Christian's propaganda.

Yeah, we're to believe that Palestinian Islamists are somehow not trying to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing like the rest of the Islamist animals in the region. That pig just won't fly.

All that is probably going right over fiddle sticks head, way over

If it weren't for the presence of the Israelis, Palestinian Muslims would have slaughtered every Christian man woman and child.

Long standing calls in mosques and rallies

first the saturday then the sunday people
first Jerusalem then Rome

They massacred town after town of christians in Lebanon. Palestinians population is a factions of what it once was.

It goes beyond just the palestinian muslims, it is happening through the region.

Why Little Ms. Skinhead, is anything stopping you from contacting that Muslim Arab journalist to tell him that you think his story is wrong. I guess Ms. Skinhead doesn't like Muslim Arab journalists when they tell the truth, I suggest that Little Ms. Skinhead start reading Raymond Ibrahim (a Coptic Christian) about what is happening to Christians in the Muslim world. Of course you missed the Pope saying that he was gravely concerned about what is happening. If you still don't believe the news about the unfortunate Christians in the Muslim world, then by all means keep wearing your burka in solidarity for your new friends.

Aris, do you think that a an extremist Muslim like Freeman actually cares about Christians? He is just like the other radical Muslims who keep a tight lip when his brethren are murdering not only Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists but even Muslims of different sects. He is very, very lucky that an extremist like he is was allowed into a civilized country when he really belongs back where he comes from and he can take all his hatreds with him too.

There are plenty of Muslims in this world who are tolerant of those of different faiths, and those are the ones who should be allowed to emigrate here -- not Muslims like Freeman who have no tolerance.

Has it ever crossed your mind that you are constantly bitching about religion?

I think readers can figure out that the Old Fool has no lost love for historic edifices. In face, if the pyramids were bullldozed, he wouldn't even blink. However, if his favorite bar was bulldozed, no one in his town would hear the last of it.

Regardless of the Old Fool's feeling he had to pop in with his usual, religion is here to stay and regardless of how we or anyone else thinks about it, people should be allowed to practice their beliefs in peace without being murdered for them and their places of worship should be left alone.

Let your propaganda for simpletons!

Hamas chiefs with christians in Christmas.
