What we see with alarming regularity is a fanatical bunch of psychotics who either want to blow the world up or enslave the population under medieval draconian laws.

Not only is Islam the one Abrahamic faith that exhorts its faithful to slaughter the unbelievers who will not submit (Islam is not called submission for nothing) to its supremacy, but it is also the only one with its original, primitive ideology still intact. The principles and values embodied in Islam were relevant to medieval Arabia. In those brutal and nasty times, a brutal and nasty theocratic order was effective in cohering illiterate, warring tribes and providing the draconian stability to build an empire. This is what happened. But times have changed—much of the world is now civilized, free, technologically capable, literate, and tolerant... excepting muhammedan throwbacks. Until Islam meets with a massive reform and enlightenment movement, it will continue to be unfit for the modern world, and we will continue to see a steady uptick in terror attacks of Islamic gee-had with the islamo-bodies piled into heaps.

That is because everything we in the west care about, such as state sovereignty, representative democracy, universal franchise, independent judiciary, equal rights, etc., are utterly incompatible with islamist doctrine as it is practiced anywhere in the world.

Islamism is the most intolerant, violent, arrogant, totalitarian, and problematic religion in mankind's history. The primary reason for this is the fact that Islam is amazingly resistant to reform. i.e., it is a seventh century socio-politico-religious ideology which may have been acceptable one millennium ago, but is now egregiously incompatible with the modern, secular ideals which have moved the civilized world forward.

As it has been the case, you are unwilling or unable to reconcile the behavior of a 7th century arab warlord as being inconsistent with the behaviors acceptable in the modern age. That has been stated consistently and tediously but you cannot bring yourself to address those points. Muhammud's (swish)allowance for sexual slavery, thievery and wars of aggression and colonialism are incompatible with the values that most of the world adheres to.

Living a life under the delusion that modeling your life within precepts that define sexual slavery, thievery and wars of aggression and colonialism as noble is a sad existence. One U.S.-based academic, who studies Muslim communities in the West and spent his childhood in the UK, said that Islamophobia in the UK is no longer confined to extreme neo-fascist groups – and was actually becoming part of the ‘establishment.’

Saeed Khan – lecturer in the Department of Near East & Asian Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he teaches Islamic and Middle East History, Islamic Civilizations and History of Islamic Political Thought – said this stands to impact tourism and investment.

“Islamophobia is no longer confined to just these fringe elements. We find politicians, opinion-makers and journalists who are not simply doing the bidding of these fringe groups, but in many ways are championing their rhetoric in demonizing Muslims,” Khan told Al Arabiya News. “That’s deeply disturbing and it will have an impact.”
