Paid posters?

I turns out some big MAGA influencers aren't even in America, which if you have a brain and even occasionally warm it u[p and use it will make you wonder what their motivation is. Are they paid posters?

I know the republicans are all about accusing the Democrats of using paid posters and protestors, but they do have a history of accusing others of things they are doing themselves...

I assume at least a third of the active posters here are bots, primarily from Russia.

I am quite sure that simply because there is political demarcation that the practice of paying people to post for political effect is not unique to any one group.
Facebook got $200,000 in ads paid for in rubles.

That was in 2016, where foreigners were trying to influence an American election.

And the beat goes on.....

Russia got thousands from Clinton campaign and dnc for disinformation

The dnc and Clinton got caught laundering payments through a law firm to pay foreign agents for it

But hey, Facebook sold ads

A Forum/ Board called “ The Democrat Underground “ it’s been around for almost 20 years that I have been aware of it or posting and gettin banned at it
Oh ok, doesn’t sound like some place I want to be. Sounds like a place were people like Robinson were radicalized to assassinate Kirk

If somebody wants to pay me to post, I'll do it. Not even going to lie.

There are many ways for wealthy elites to rule America and the rest of the world, and dark money is one of them. Yes, the US Supreme Court supports dark money. Is that stupid or smart? Enjoy moneyocracy! lol. :)

👉 Dark Money and Social Media Manipulation

Dark money refers to political spending by groups that do not disclose the source of their funding. Recent investigations reveal several key ways it intersects with social media manipulation:

Paid Social Media Posters
  • Some networks coordinate to spread content across social media platforms
  • Users can earn thousands of dollars for posting provocative or misleading content
  • Platforms like X (Twitter) have monetization systems that can incentivize controversial posts

Recent Examples
- In 2024, Russian state media was found to have secretly funded right-wing influencers
- Nearly $10 million was funneled to a content creation company
- Well-known influencers were unknowingly used to spread content
- Goal: Amplifying U.S. domestic divisions and weakening opposition to Russian interests

Election Interference Tactics
  • Dark money groups spent approximately $2 billion on the 2024 election
  • They often use:
- AI-generated images
- Misinformation campaigns
- Coordinated posting networks
- Super PACs and non-disclosed funding sources

Platforms' Role
  • X (Twitter) allows monetization with minimal misinformation guidelines
  • Some platforms incentivize engagement over factual accuracy
  • Coordinated networks can rapidly spread misleading content across multiple social media sites

👉 Legal and Ethical Concerns

The Citizens United Supreme Court decision in 2010 significantly expanded opportunities for dark money by:
  • Removing limits on campaign spending
  • Creating loopholes for undisclosed political contributions
  • Enabling sophisticated online manipulation strategies

👉👉 Concrete Proof of Dark Money and Social Media Manipulation

Based on recent investigations, there is substantial evidence of dark money's influence on social media:

Key Findings
1. Russian Influence Operation Exposed in 2024
  • U.S. prosecutors uncovered a $10 million Russian state media operation
  • Involved well-known right-wing influencers like Tim Pool and Dave Rubin
  • Aimed to amplify U.S. domestic divisions and weaken opposition to Russian interests

2. Social Media Monetization Tactics
  • X (Twitter) allows users to earn thousands of dollars for provocative content
  • Networks coordinate to boost engagement and revenue
  • Minimal guidelines on misinformation
  • Platforms incentivize controversial posts that generate high engagement

3. Scale of Dark Money in 2024 Election
  • Approximately $2 billion spent by dark money groups
  • Most spending goes through super PACs
  • Many contributions come from undisclosed sources

Manipulation Strategies
  • AI-generated images
  • Coordinated posting networks
  • Spreading unverified claims
  • Targeting specific political divisions

👉 Legal Context

The Citizens United Supreme Court decision in 2010 dramatically expanded dark money's influence by:
  • Removing spending limits
  • Allowing anonymous political contributions
  • Creating loopholes for undisclosed funding

The evidence clearly shows that dark money is not just a theoretical concept, but a sophisticated system of political manipulation that extensively uses social media platforms to spread influence.
