now, the question is - why?
or, more importantly - who is at fault?
I have a major issue with trying to categorize people into obese and borderline using a chart that only takes into account a person's height and sex. At 5'8 the chart says I should be around 165, and the Chart can go kiss my ass. I admit I am around 230 right now and I am overweight, but when I get down to 200 or so people start thinking I look too thin for my frame.
I have what the Italians call the "Paisan" Build, short in stature, and wide in the shoulders. The charts don't take that into account.

Being lard asses is akin to being free to some of these dumbass. Free to have diabetes and heart disease. Just dont mention companies shoveling fucked up food in Americans faces. That, unlike cutting off a diabetic limb, is unfair
When I was a kid, we were always outside playing, climbing trees, walking a couple miles to a friend's house. People are too afraid to let their kids ramble like that anymore. It's a shame. I had a lot of fun.I would say the major causes are: EBT, games, and the lack of a viable physical education program at their schools.
I believe Mrs. Obama has been making a fuss about this for several years. Fresh produce is expensive; it will never work on food stamps or a really tight budget.Obesity is higher amongst the poor, since they tend to eat mostly processed shitty food.
Maybe when an R is the WH, the media will rise hell about this.
When I was a kid, I was fat. Fattest kid in my class. The doctor kept saying it was baby fat and would go away. It did when I hit puberty. Since then, I've had trouble keeping weight on. I don't know what baby fat is, but I can't be the only person it ever happened to.
I did eat a lot of junk, too, PLUS the three squares a day my mom put on the table. But I still eat whatever I want and I'm still thin.
