Our National Parks at risk

Why not, democrats spent $2 trillion alone on wind turbines

democrats love to spend the money, and greedily wont allow anyone but themselves near the public piggy bank
I am sure the wind turbines are working, unlike the jet.

Actually they are not. Wind turbines dont provide a reasonable amount of electricity and they do so at a crippling price.

tell us why this spending is bad but giving away money for democrat causes are good
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT) was a comprehensive U.S. energy law that provided tax incentives, loan guarantees, and research funding for a variety of energy sources, including renewables like solar and biofuels, and traditional sources like nuclear power, oil, and gas. Key provisions included the Renewable Fuel Standard, expanded loan authority for clean energy projects, tax credits for hybrid vehicles and clean coal technology, and provisions to increase domestic oil and gas production, streamline hydropower licensing, and enhance electrical grid reliability. The act also included amendments to the underground storage tank program to prevent environmental releases.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Renewable Energy and Fuels:
    • Established the Renewable Fuel Standard, increasing the mandated use of biofuels like ethanol.

    • Provided tax credits for hybrid vehicles and fuel cell power plants.

    • Supported research and development in hydrogen fuel cells and other clean energy technologies.
    • Encouraged domestic oil and gas production on federal lands.

    • Provided loan guarantees to support innovative energy projects.

    • Includes provisions for clean coal, nuclear power, and hydropower.

It merely saved me the time of posting all this shit like I have done several times to people who are ignorant of what the government has been doing what it is doing, and why.....If you don't like the 411 then you were never interested anyway

you could never understand the complex nature of sharing.
Oh I understand better than you. You just do not understand the difference of having money and having debt. But let’s face it they really don’t do very well at explaining it in detail to slow children

The present admin has a plan. Let the National Parks become trash heaps through lack of personnel, then declare they would be better under private ownership, and sell them off to billionaires. National Parks are an American idea, one of our best, and this filthy admin must not be allowed to destroy the inheritance of all of our citizens. We must aid in the protection of our Parks, and the preservation of our history in those parks. Both of which this admin seeks to destroy.

This administration isn't trying to destroy our National Park system. The parks are short on personnel because fewer people are applying for work in them and career personnel are retiring.
There's also the problem that some of these beautiful parks are being "loved-to-death" by the visitors. As the population legal and illegal increased, the attendance jumped.
An appointment system could be set up where the National Park administration personnel calculate the most optimal number of visitors for each year and then the parks advertise that, that number of visitors are what is allowed for the year. People apply online or in person and once the acceptable number is reached, those wanting to visit the park, simply apply for the next calendar year.

Maybe stop letting in hordes of dirty N’Wahs.

Putting the parks under private ownership would guarantee their demise. The parks belong to the people not some billionaire, thankfully.

National parks could become state parks, if states want parks there. Tourism will be dropping as travel becomes more expensive, and many parks are on low value land, so they may be unsellable and unusable.

Please tell us what national pars are on low value land....

I present a nuanced disagreement. I think what you say is correct. If the blob could survive liquidating the Grand Tetons, he’d do it tomorrow.

That being said...I am going to say that there are some parts of the national park system that could stand some privatization or “better privatization” to be more precise.

Hilton or Hyatt or Mariott should run them under strict rules. No structure over two stories, parking spaces--two per room only, etc... That sort of thing. Most importnatly, the same interface you get to reserve a room in Breckenridge is what you have in Olympic NP. The rooms have at least wired internet (to avoid towers), television, restrooms, etc... Put a...hiss...mcdonalds or burger king or Carl’s Jr. in the parks. Only do it like a cafeteria. No to-go bags. If you don’t bring hamburger wrappers into the park...you don’t have to worry about the waste. Food served on plates, plates on trays; glasses instead of paper cups. No drive-throughs.

Now this wouldn’t be in every park but it would be in the larger ones. Bryce Canyon (my favorite) is about 36,000 acres. Its doubtful that you can do much there. At Olympic..you have 922,000 acres. Surely you can set aside 10 of those for a corporate pad of sorts. Anyway...my two cents.
