Our modern-day history lesson

Because he’s a good showman who knows that the lib networks are a soft target
Trump is a lying SNOWFLAKE and has been for over 50 years.

And you support a showman and a reality TV host?

A majority of the public does not like them or trust them
The majority of the public doesn't like Trump or trust him, he is a LIAR.

Dear Leader floats pulling licenses if networks are ‘against’ him after Jimmy Kimmel suspended

Looking at 2025 current events from a historical perspective. Say, 90 years ago:

A bold and brash intruder enters the scene, painting a picture of a once-great country that has fallen victim to "the other". He describes a current distopia so brutal and unforgiving that widespread pain and suffering are only days away. Then he announces the classic promise: "Only I can fix this", and enough of the public believes him and grants him power.

With each new individual and troubling move, the leader has two critical groups enabling him -- an intimidated and compliant government that is essentially paralyzed, and the street-level "useful idiots" (Lenin's term) who have an immediate, impulsive and aggressive excuse for the move, questioning the patriotism of anyone who doesn't comply, issuing vague threats of retribution.

Then the moves just keep piling up, and become more commonplace and normalized through sheer repetition. A large segment of the population are just living their lives and not paying particular attention to the details. One by one, corporations bend the knee and comply/capitulate. One by one, media outlets make their changes. One by one, opposing voices go quiet. What was once alarming is now just part of a daily flow.

And then, one day, it's in full effect.

God damn. Now we know what it looks like. Now we know "how they could have let this happen". I really didn't need to learn this first hand, though.
You guys do not believe economics plays a role in pure equality. We are all in groups and in more than one. When the dictatorship comes, the then leaders will know all of us and what we belong to and are. Then they will selectively cull the groups as needed to fit the economic conditions at that time.

You are a majority of one

Trump won the presidential election over the strong objections of the lib news media

“The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it"

If he had said something that celebrated kirks death, or disparaged it, then I would be done with Kimmel (I already don't watch him); however, he said nothing about Kirk at all.
Brian Kilmead on FOX suggested that mentally ill homeless people be given a lethal injection and ‘just kill them’
Kimmel was pointing out Trump’s well documented narcissism in his comments about how he was holding up and the way that his MAGA followers not only accepting it, but embrace it. The FCC threatening action is a breach of 1A rights.
How about the orange blimp acting like he was devastated over Mr Kirk being murdered but quickly start talking about things he has done. A conman never stops
And the thing is you will ring up Kilmeade's statement for the next decade and compare it to only one of the hundreds and hundreds of nasty venomous smears Kimmell has made and then say we should do something about it. Losing their TV employment as hosts should just be the start of the karma. They are murderers.

Trump is at least raising awareness of how effective this manipulation and influencing the corporate media is in creating stress in the population. Of course, the courts will pick at it, rightly so, but it is offering a new and needed look at how we do things. The media has always created public perception, like imprisoning Japanese civilians in WW2, the yellow peril in Asia, the domino theory, how the drug epidemic started, war on poverty and causes, etc. Saturday Night Live has forever been a big influencer with its portrayals of politics which while funny masquerade as truth, When Ross Perot was trying to warn us about NAFTA and the loss of manufacturing, they played him as a fool and jester, and we laughed, and he was ridiculed out of running. Guess who was correct? Influencing may not be illegal, but a lot of people cannot separate satire from reality today and actually have more confidence in their tv screen than who they vote for. Lazy, apathetic and easily influenced voters have brought us to where we are now which is dysfunctional dependence on a system that is self-serving. It's good that it is being demonstrated, it's been too long since it's been challenged.

Funny, when those corporations were going along with a lefty political flow, you seemed happy with that.

They're just looking for the slightest excuse, the smallest opening, now. The horrific thing that Kilmeade said was off their radar faster than the latest slaughter of innocent children in a school classroom.

And the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The environment is now established in EVERY INCH of the country: Criticize the leader and you're a target of the government. The useful idiots will do what they always do, and equate what is happening with the comparitively benign Biden years. And that's how they enable more of the same.

The government is under control, corporations are under control, and now the media is under control. Step by step, by the playbook.

Biden's lawfare was a massive violation of civil rights, from the 1/6 rioters, to Trump himself.

That you call him, "comparitively benign" shows you to be shit talking.

the majority of the public doesnt trust any politician...they shouldnt anyway...they all lie or embellish the truth...

The Citizens United v Federal Election Commission decision was all about 1st amendment, that corporations are actually entities that can legally pour money into campaigns which of course steers voters. Money talks. Everything the nazis did after 1933 and their Enabling Act was legal, too. Awareness can save us, but I don't think it will.

Like what?

That's only because, they're TRAITORS.

Snowflakes, who lost an election.

The bit where you post a question, between my point and my supporting argument,

that is you being retarded.

And it is common... issue with leftards like yourself.

DISMISSED.

LOL, the part that doesn't exist.

That's you being delusional.

Sure it did. you had to break apart a sentence of mine. I made a claim then listed two examples to support it.

You broke the sentence apart at the comma, between my point and my supporting examples.

To demand examples.

You are acting like a complete retard.

Which is very normal for libs these days.

To continue your education…We are ruled by two corporate parties who pretend to be adversaries for the cameras in order to deceive the public into thinking we live in a democracy, but when it’s time to pass laws these two parties sell out the people every time to big corporations and the billionaire class.

OR, we have two parties that are deeply opposed to each other, but the rich use their money to buy influence with both and use that influence to protect their short term interests.

You want me to ignore the fact that the hard left is in charge of the dem party and is wants to kill me and mine.
