What, on earth, could cause such a breach in President Donald Trump and his Attorney General, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions that a hack like Lindsay Graham would say "their relationship is beyond repair?"

If he knew he was only going to recuse himself once he took the job, immediately abdicating his role, duties, and responsibilities as head of the DOJ he should have said something.
He basically took the job and then stepped down, handing the job over to Rosenstein, someone who is more a Conflict of Interest in the Trump case than Sessions could ever be.
It was a spineless, BS move...again, if true.
the AG is not the Presidents attorney.
In a way, he IS. He is the nation's US AG, and he works for the President of the United States.
If you would feel better if I phrased it a different way, Sessions f*ed me and every other American by saying he would take the job only to immediately and unnecessarily abdicate his position, responsibility, control, and duties to a man who has already broken the law by refusing to comply with a Congressional subpoena....meaning the DOJ is being sun by a criminal who refuses to acknowledge his own conflict of interest, refuses to acknowledge Congress' authority, and refuses to acknowledge the law he has broken.
