Mother furious after in-school clinic sets up teen's abortion | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and Weather - Seattle, Washington | Local & Regional

Jill says her daughter, a pro-life advocate, was given a pass, put in a taxi and sent off to have an abortion during school hours all without her family knowing.

"We had no idea this was being facilitated on campus," said Jill. "They just told her that if she concealed it from her family, that it would be free of charge and no financial responsibility."

And here is the loop hole for the Executive Order on Abortion. It only covers Federal Funds. Medicaid is partly funded by the Feds - and partly funded by the States. Watch out for State funded abortions to be made available as the Rules Are Written by the Vast New Bureaucracy.

Federal law only covers Federal funds, whether you're talking an EO or the Hyde Amendment. State funds are theirs to handle under their own laws, subject to the Constitution where applicable.

If true, the story in the OP is troubling on several levels. There isn't enough there to know if that's the case. But if a State or even locality wants to fund abortion with its own money how is that the business of the Feds barring a Constitutional amendment applied to the States?

I'm just pointing out how meaningless the EO is, and by implication, what a fool Stupak was for falling for the gambit.

"At any age in the state of Washington, an individual can consent to a termination of pregnancy," he said.

But Jill says she not only didn't have a say in her daughter's abortion, but also didn't know about it.

"Makes me feel like my rights were completely stripped away."
...and that's how it's done....

Yes lady....your rights as a parent were stripped from you by the socialist slimebags...

By that standard all Federal law is meaningless, since it cannot control every aspect of State and local funding. Nice reach, bad aim.

This all you get out of this story? A teenage girl has a major medical procedure without the consent or knowledge of her parents, a procedure surreptitiously arranged by the clinic operating at the public school, a clinic which, apparently, is under no control from the school board, and all you get out of the story is the kid is a hypocrite because of her current, and alleged, political beliefs?

You really are naive, aren't you? Abortion was a red herring thrown out there so the real holdouts coud be undercut and whipped while the opposition hacks and media stooges were looking the other way. You honestly think the outcome of that little drama was ever in doubt? This is the big leagues.

WTF? Is this even a real story, how stupid would the school be for doing it and what motivation would they have by doing it.Obviously if the daughter went to have the abortion, she wasn't "pro life" as the article says

That might be what the "pro life activist" told her mother when she got caught getting an abortion because she was knocked up.

Or...it might not be true at all...

and.. if she's old enough to decide she's a "pro life advocate", I'm pretty sure she could have declined an abortion.

Someone in the story isn't telling the truth.
