"Only Criminals Carry Guns On Our Streets"--Donald Trump

A comment he shouldn't have made, however let's take it in the likely context he meant it.

He likely meant, that if you show up during these aggressive and outrageous street demonstrations with a gun, you're likely looking for criminal activity.
The stupidity and hypocrisy of conservatives on full display.

For the dishonest right, someone who carries a gun is a criminal only when demonstrating against the fascist Trump regime.

Not even remotely true.

Based on reports surrounding the January 24, 2026, fatal shooting of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis, the charges he likely would have faced if arrested—based on allegations by federal officials—included:
  • Assaulting federal officers
  • Impeding/Obstructing a law enforcement operation
  • Violation of carrying a concealed weapon regulations (specifically, allegations from officials that he failed to carry identification while in possession of a firearm)

Yet he was nowhere near the alleged property.
<~~~~~~~~~~>
Indeed he was being chased by a lynch mob and then assaulted by a guy with a skate board and another with a pistol.

Only a conservative would consider lawful, peaceful protest a ‘criminal act.’

Such is the fascist right.

They are not peaceful!
These lunatics have screamed at ICE, obstructed ICE, harassed ICE, and continually have created a chaotic situation forcing the agents to continually having to address them, instead of the criminals the lunatics are protecting.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but does this mean that self-defense is a criminal act now?

God bless you always!!!

In other words lie, that's all you're doing man, sad.

That's what you wish he had said but not what he actually said, sad man, sad.

Self-defense is not a crime—it is an affirmative defense to a criminal charge, usually when someone is accused of assault or homicide.

Killing another person is generally unlawful. However, if someone uses deadly force in self-defense, the court may determine that the killing was justified—meaning it was legally permissible because the person reasonably believed they were in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm.

In other words, self-defense doesn't mean no crime occurred—it means the act was legally justified under the circumstances.

This killing of Pretti was NOT self-defense.

I think if you show up anywhere with a gun you're likely looking for criminal activity. Let's just ban guns.

It's always "He likely meant" with that orange turd.

Stop this. Stop trying to give meaning to the things Trump says that he doesn't mean.

The man was trying to help a woman up off the ground, who was shoved by an ICE Agent. The only reason they knew he had a gun was when they started eating n him. What he likely meant was that when ICE comes to your city, expect them to break the law and violate your constitutional rights.
That guy was stupid, and it cost him his life. So was donut-bumper Renee. FAFO. End of story.

Indeed, but that is what happens when you foolishly carry a weapon (Legally or otherwise) into a protest where Law Enforcement is trying to do it's job and you interfere. and obstruct the job they're doing...

I seriously doubt that Trump could even pass a High School Civics test.

Heck. I doubt that a lot of the political uppers could.
I think you are wrong about most of the so-called political uppers. This is the problem we have now. Everything is not the same.

That is not the case here, no matter how much you want to believe the lies from the government.

Except his administration and DOJ aren't arresting nor having problems with those minding their P's and Q's. It's always the kooks "out in the streets" looking for trouble that seem to find it. Amazing coincidence!
They broke down the door of an American citizen, dragged him out into 12 degree weather in just his underwear, no shoes, threw him in the back of a vehicle and drove him around before dumping him once they found out they fucked up. The guy was in his 70s. They violated the 4th amendment as they didn't have a warrant.

We have seen the video, idiot, so you can just stop repeating lies.
This is why I just post and don't engage with these imbeciles. They don't have an honest bone in their bodies.
