Just because the Republicans suck even worse at helping working class voters does not mean that the Democrats can't do a lot more. The Democratic Party left themselves vulnerable to a snake oil salesman like Donald Trump...because they have taken the working class for granted.

When was the last time a mainstream Democrat like Biden or Harris even talked about Medicare For All? Or raising the minimum wage to $15.00 or $20.00? The fact is that the Democratic Party has not done enough for the working class in the past 50 years.

Union membership has also declined dramatically since the 1970s. Again, the Democratic Party has not done nearly enough to combat this.

And a major reason why is because the Democratic Party has a lot of wealthy donors who do not want Medicare For All, a higher minimum wage, and stronger labor unions. The Democratic Party has become a party of the educated upper middle class...just like the Republican Party 20 years ago. And they are not going to win many elections if they don't do more for the working class.
