It’s a show. Sure people stay off the streets when troops are there but they aren’t going to stay forever. They bring no lasting change. Trump isn’t even trying to work with other cities. He is just trolling and trying to play righteous so he can attack anybody who pushes back on his tactics as pro crime. It’s very transparent what he is doing.

You know some other these things that would bring crime down? A national curfew. Gun bans, registration, confiscation. Increased seevelence of US citizens. Basically locking society down like commies do. Look at China. Low crime in China. So at some point you need to choose where your principles are. Freedom, democracy…. Or authoritarianism. The later will bring crime down. Is that what you want?

I agree we need a long term solution to cleaning up crime but democrats and progressives sure as hell ain't it. Their solution is to let all the criminals run around free and pass gun control legislation so that the freely roaming around criminals can't get guns. In the meantime, we need to take back out streets. Americans are tired of all the the high crime and they're tired of seeing criminals being arrested, 10, 20, and 30 times and then being let right back out.

maybe if all you do is listen to the right wing talking points but in reality if you actually look at the cities that Trump is ragging on, initiatives have been in place for years that are bringing crime rates down. Instead of learning about what the cities are doing and supporting them. Trump is trying to railroad them and start political fights. It’s very transparent and unproductive .
