One more step, in the guidelines to becoming a dictator, that Trump took today!

Doesn’t it kind of depend on whether the “messenger” is conveying real numbers or just tossing out biased politically partisan bullshit?
Yea it does.
How do YOU know what is real or biased?

Your feeling?
Praise trump.

Thoughts From an Independent:

Now that President Trump has fired BLS commissioner Erika McEntarffer accusing her of rigging data to reflect poorly on his administration, Goldman Sachs over the weekend released its revision estimates set to be published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in September will reveal a 550,000-950,000 downward revision in the Government jobs report for the 12-month period through March 2025.

This longstanding practice by Donald Trump of firing people who report things he doesn't want to hear or simply accusing them of issuing "Fake News" is beginning to wear thin, even by some of his supporters.

Goldman Sachs has no reason to falsify employment data. In addition to being a well-respected financial institution, Goldman Sachs has been remarkably accurate with its employment revision reports for decades irrespective of partisan politics. So - What will "The Donald" do now? Sue Goldman Sachs? Try to fire them as well? What will Trump do if other financial institutions or fund managers' report similar data?

When I know more, so will you dear readers. Off the record. On the Q-T. And very Hush-Hush! :bye1:

One thing it will change is any reason to believe the accuracy of the BLS stats even after revisions are made. If the new person wants to keep his or her job they will produce the kinds of numbers trump wants to see. Everyone understands that. Meaning the credibility of US government data has once again been diminished in the eyes of the world thanks to Dotard.

I’m glad you think I personally have the power…you’re a fool…
You don’t think Trump would be responsive to outcries from his base?

Yea, that's it, anything that does not flatter Dear Leader must be "fake news."

Who knew a cult of personality would happen here like this is North Korea?
So you take your stand on defending her despite the evidence that she helped cook the books on a partisan political basis.

Odummy, you make me laugh. Mostly at you.

Many suspected worse than N.K. or the Zionist regime.

It was certainly suspected of being under the control of fascists since the assassination of Kennedy at least.

Did you see the rise of fascism even earlier?

What "evidence" do you have?
The revisions, for starters. Not just hers. But as far back as these numbers have come up, there is a long track record of later revisions. They are quite often just nonsense.

I’m sure that a willing tool, like you, finds it of no interest how often her pre-revised numbers helped Biden and how often her numbers hurt Trump.

Just a coinkydinky.

Move along, troll.

They have done revisions for over 20 years. Hundreds of people work on these numbers and report to the commissioner.

He can fire people, but others will report the same things.

Though he has managed to force people to give him bribes to leave them alone, like Paramount... so he might start suing Golden Sachs soon.

47 hates the truth. He wants an easily believable convenient lie and NOT the truth.

Which month did she get right?

Because? The numbers which get originally reported are somewhat loose estimates and many factors are not included.

It’s one thing to release these figures so that people who rely on them can get a rough estimate of how to predict the economic future. It’s another thing to release them to assist a particular candidate or damage another political opponent.

This means that when the prelim numbers consistently tilt toward one side of the political spectrum (but the revisions consistently fail to do so), there is reason to suspect that someone has their thumb in the scales.

They need new methods. Not just some GOVT stooge to keep rubber stamping a 1970s' survey method.

She was in charge. Number revisions seem to be wrong more than ever in 2024. She did nothing about it. She could be fired just on that. Stain they Beller out windows either way. "Orange man Hitler".

You probably think the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. You really cannot enter into a reasonable discussion with people who are conspiratorial.

If you haven't noticed Trump's track record up to this point, there is little hope you ever will. Firing someone because you don't like their findings, not based on the evidence, but based on the result, is why he did what he did.

Parrots they chirp w/o any understanding just caw caw caw like the idiot Stain above. Too low of IQ up in here mostly.//
