On January 6th, 2021, insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol in support of Donald Trump, with many breaking into the building and ransacking offices while members of Congress fled for their lives.

CREW combed through court filings and public statements and found that 210 defendants from 40 states and the District of Columbia who were charged for their participation in the January 6th insurrection said they were answering Donald Trump’s calls when they traveled to Washington and joined the violent attack on the Capitol.

From Proud Boys and Oath Keepers to individual members of the public, these people saw Trump as their leader and believed they were following his call by joining the insurrection.

, this bolsters the evidence that the insurrection was a direct result of Trump’s word and Trump’s actions.

Well over a thousand insurrectionists have been held accountable – charged for obstruction of law enforcement, remaining in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building, seditious conspiracy and more.

It's alleged that federal informants encouraged the disruption that amounted to little more than simple trespass by mom and pop demonstrators and Trump had nothing to do with it. Demonstrator Ashley Babbitt was unarmed and posed no threat but she was shot and killed by a Capital Officer. Who do we see about that?

I'm in the UK and could you explain something to me please.

I've noticed that the consensus in the US is that no civil war would happen. Especially because the types of firearms the minority of the people have v's the US military couldn't overthrow the government.

So keeping that in mind, do you feel Jan 6 was an insurrection? Do you believe an unarmed protest shown around the WH with cable ties in their pockets nearly overthrew your government?
