I think he would be saddened to see that his party actually considered running a Socialist.
They did huh.
When? Who?
Don't be dense, you know exactly who I'm talking about.
Whelp -- if you can't articulate your point, you never had one. Moving on.
I was obviously speaking of Bernie Sanders, however you're setting up some kind of silly "got you" on the Internet.
Thank you. So apparently you weren't paying attention during the campaigns. Bernie Sanders got undermined at every turn by the Democratic Party, of which he wasn't even a member until he launched a Presidential run. I saw primaries where Hillary had delegates awarded
before voting even started. Ever hear of a woman named Debbie Wasserman-Schultz?
So no, the party never "considered" Sanders. It considered Clinton and it considered dumping everybody else. And that's what it did. And incidentally Sanders isn't a Socialist anyway -- he's a self-described
Democratic Socialist. Not that that's got anything to do with the old established political party.
On the other side the Republican Party considered everybody but when Rump won the primaries it failed to consider its own health. It too could have dumped its primary winner and nominated, say, the establishment guy from Ohio, exactly as it did in 1912.
So in sum one party committed a sin of commission, the other a sin of omission, and the electorate got fucked.
